These sponges are very soft. But, it is quite uncomfortable to hold. I am not sure whether to insert two or three fingers. Holding the sponge feels very unstable.

I love these sponges. They are perfect to apply primer, foundation and even concealer if you are careful not to apply too much. I find if used lightly, foundation applies flawlessly to achieve a natural look--not so heavy. They wash up well with just a tiny bit of Dawn detergent, then rinse really well. I have this product on subscription so I never run out. I think the package holds 5 sponges. They last me a couple of months, then the new ones arrive. Great product, better than the traditional pointed ones.
