I needed two of them to go across the back of the denim work shirt I was working on. This left a gap that kept pulling apart... tried stitching across it but that tended to pull. Putting on the embroidery hoop made things pull apart more also. This thin tape worked perfectly to 'seal' the gap together. It is slightly stickier than the stick n stitch fabric so it is holding fairly well. Since it also washes away? perfect solution. It did add a bit of thickness to stitch thru but given the problem I was working with, I was OK with that. It's not terrible. Do you just press down to get it to stick or is it an iron on?** A: It is like a very thin double sided tape. I have used it to make hemming much easier. Especially if it is a thin hem where it's harder to hold or pin. No ironing necessary, just cut the amount you need place it on the fabric then peel the paper off the other side and press the fabric together. **Q: Can this be used as a temporary hemming tool for a jersey dress? Will it hold for one night of trick or treating with my friends?** A: I was not a fan of this. It didn't hold at all (I was working on a basic jersey dress). Stitch Witchery is a good brand I used before that worked great. **Q: can you use this for hemming sheer curtains on permanent basis without sewing?** A: The hold will not be strong enough.
