Did the Job
Amazing little gadget. Excellent sound quality. Purchased so that I could set up rear surround speakers without having to trail speaker wire around room. Used the optical out from Surround Sound DVD Player into it set surround speakers up with a separate Bluetooth receiver amplifier to control rear volume (without amp limited sound) and hey presto no more speaker wire. Very little lag (if any) in sync would recommend it for what ever you require it for 5* On another note was told that this was not possible to do but I find it good enough for what I want. The true audio techos will disagree but that's opinion....

Really is a PITA
Really a case of hit & miss if it'll connect to your, for example, BT headset within a reasonable time, say within 5 minutes. Definitely make sure you've turned off BT on your phone! Just a very 'dumb' device, no feedback on connection status apart from a few small LED's which often indicate a connection only to discover there isn't one. Seriously would be more expensive but buy a decent set of wireless (RF) headphones. Oh yeah and save the trouble of having your movie/netflix/prime soundtrack being transmitted to all the BT speakers in range (not straight away, obviously 🙄).

Dreadful crackling noise in the received audio. Makes it basically unusable with headphones, since it's actually painful.

All of these make it easy to use
I wanted to use this for my tv as wireless headphones are becoming scarce. This is my second try on one of these devises and it seems to be a winner. It sits down where you can get to it, is configured so you can leave it plugged in and you don't have to remember to charge it, and it has a definite on off switch. All of these make it easy to use. Very happy with how it works.
