Spanners are generally useful in specific situations. I have used these on motorcycle shocks, Ohlins and Marzocchi shocks, and having a selection allow the proper sized spanner to be used. There are a few other shocks, and other situations these would be useful in, but if you need them, you know what you need them for.

The sizes are a little bit off, but they worked just fine for adjusting the Fox 2.5 coilovers on my Wrangler. Felt a little big and sloppy, but as long as you are careful you can get them to bite and spin the rings.

I bought this set in order to remove, replace and adjust the coil-over spring on the rear shock of my mountain bike. I bought the set because I wasn't sure which size I would need to get the job done but I could tell the set would have a size that would work. This is a kind of tool that most of us won't need very often but when you need it, you really need it. Nothing else works as well. I also have motorcycles with coil-over shocks so I'm sure I'll have use for them again. These wrenches appear to be made well and are finished nicely. Having the cloth roll to keep them in is perfect. Without that it would be too easy for the set to become scattered among my other tools and hard to find. The price was reasonable too. This is an all-around good buy.
