Hoodman Mag 3.0 Magnifying Eye Cup for the Hoodloupe

It is a super item to have in your pack if you are out on a sunny day. This item allows you to view the picture in great detail. I would recommend that you also purchase the grip to hold it to the camera, I didn't. Good luck and thank you.

I bought a set: Hoodman Loupe; Eyecup and Camera strap, but this review is just for the eyecup.I agree with Mike, the eyecup just makes the hoodman loupe worse... I would say almost unusable. The eyecup comes with its own lens, which alone seems to be very poor and has inconsistent blurring round edges. Adding it to the loupe just compounds this and distorts the image. In order to get a fine focus I ended up moving the Loupe aside so i could just see the screen, which surely defeats the object of the loupe. I bought it hoping to be able to find focus using it for video on a DLSRI've read numerous reviews and they almost all rave about the Hoodman Loupe setup. I need to find out if its a faulty unit or I'm using it incorrectly, so I can either return it or sort it out .

I bought this a couple of years ago now, but use it all the time for my landscape photography, especially in bright light when it's hard to see the screen or when I am shooting into the light. It's very well made, robust and as essential part of my kit now.
