Amazing but takes a lot of practice!
The fact that it is possible to buy a drone with this level of functionality for £59.99 at time of review is a little bit mind-blowing to me. It’s my first time using a drone so I confess I have no basis for comparison and no idea what the usual cost is, but this would have been unimaginable in my youth. As well as general flights, this is small and lightweight enough to perform tricks and spins, and the onboard camera can shoot still photos or videos, all of which can be controlled from the app. The controller is designed to hold a smartphone to use as a viewing screen and access said app, but I must say that for a total newbie like me, it was all a bit overwhelming. The “Quick Start” video was too quick to follow and for some reason I didn’t seem to be able to pause or rewind the relevant bits, so in the end I resorted to simply pushing buttons! I did manage to get the drone into the air though I am not entirely sure how, and flew it around before crash-landing it, where it happily sustained no damage. My partner has flown drones before and did much better with it so it’s now officially his toy. I found the buttons on the front of the controller were too easy to press by accident and the idea of filming video whilst trying to pilot the thing was entirely beyond me. I think this old dog is too old to learn this particular new trick! But for someone younger and more open to technology, it does seem this would be amazing. There’s all sorts of detailed instructions and online tutorials available, it’s easy to put together, and so small and lightweight that you can easily carry it anywhere (provided you protect the rotor blades in transit). You do need a good open space to fly it, especially when you begin as mastering the controls clearly takes some time and patience, but even though I gave up on that battle myself, I still think it’s a very cool toy for what seems to me a surprisingly reasonable price.

Good as a starter drone - or for 'fun' type of flying.
This little drone is a great starter for people who want to learn how to fly a drone or for flying just for fun. The learning curve is a bit steep (it took me a few minutes before i 'mastered' the basics of flying in the headless mode. You'll need to take it to a big open field to use it as it's easy to crash - and because its lightweight, ideally to take it outdoors when its not windy, because even a little breeze will force it to fly sideways. It's small and lightweight, which makes it easy to control. The camera is ok and the drone is fairly resilient if you crash it. But if you're looking for a fun and affordable drone to learn on, this is a great option. I'll try to record some more useful footage and will update it here soon. Thanks.

Good for beginners
Takes a little bit of getting used to. Controlling it is hard at first but you soon get the hang of it. Once up in the air it's really good fun flying it.I recommend that you take it to a big open field as you will crash it. On board camera is a pretty good picture and looks great on my iphone 12It is possible to do flips and tricks with this drone, again, I can't stress enough that you need to take this to a wide open space to use it as it's also very fastA great price point for a decent piece of kit.Recommended

Great starter drone
This is on the high side when it comes to pricing, but there is a 50% off voucher you can apply at the time of writing this review which cuts that price in half. The quality feels pretty flimsy, but that could be intended as it makes the mini drone super lightweight, which can make it easier to fly around and not having extra weight to worry about.Colour makes it stand out and looks a little cool.My 15 year brother and also my husband, both love using this and are often competitive when it comes to who gets to use it.This is such a nice starter drone, to test it this is something that you enjoy, especially as this one has a small little camera attached to it, while being small and compact. The fact this comes with the little controller is really nice, plus rechargeable batteries.

Fiddly, but lots of functions
This might be a good way to get practice for larger drones, and you'll need it. I found the general setup and controls fairly fiddly, especially pairing it initially with the controller, which took several tries. In use, there's a long list of functions but a very short list of explanations in the manual, and you will basically have to experiment as long as the batteries last to find out what it can and can't do. There's a companion app with surprisingly sophisticated functions on offer if you can get them to work - sketch a flightpath on the screen, give voice commands (although I didn't see a list of what these commands are in the manual), and the camera functionality too, which is just about fast enough to fly it from the drone's own perspective. If you crash it (I did), it's fairly resilient, but it will also require you to go through the fiddly pairing processes again, which includes connecting the drone's own WiFi hotspot to your phone again etc.Overall, this has a lot of functions for the price, but the learning curve is pretty steep.

So much fun!
What a cool little drone! I wasn't expecting much when I opened the box and saw how small it was as I assumed it would be more gimmicky and toy-like than it actually is.The drone flies and pilots extraordinarily well. The instruction manual is detailed and includes all necessary information including how to emergency stop. The controller pad has a removeable cardboard cut-out on top explaining the controls so you don't have to worry about pressing the wrong button. Controlling the drone is pretty straightforward, it may take a few goes to properly get the hang of things but that's to be expected. We played with it for a few hours, even wirelessly connecting it to a phone so we could capture some images of questionable quality. There were some minor bumps and crashes along the way but the drone held up okay.As the drone is so small and light, this really needs to be flown in a wide open area with no wind. Any kind of wind at all will affect how this flies, so take that into account. It does feel rather fragile too, so any hard crashes will likely damage it.All in all this is great fun and very cute. I love how it folds up - it can easily be slipped into a bag or pocket!
