Keller and Lilly, but deeper.
"𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦."5 stars.I start all my MQ reviews off with the same sentiment—she is my very favorite author. Let's go ahead and make that known for those of you who are new here. That's why the first thing I'm going to say in this review might shock you.It wasn't until I got to 15% and Lilly made me LOL with the line, "'Is, uh, your butt butt okay?' 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙩 𝙩𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙚?'" that I was certain I was going to love this one. At first, I wasn't convinced that this one was for me, and that this might be the first one of Meghan's books that I would rate less than an enthusiastic 5 stars—that might get 4 instead of 5. Wild, I know. I rate my books honestly, no matter who the author is, and hers have always been perfectly on point. Something about this one didn't have me convinced at first. I knew I liked it, but I wasn’t connecting like I usually do.But immediately after that chapter, I was hooked. I don't know what it was about that goofy line from Lilly that snapped everything back in place for me, but it was just perfection after that. I could not put it down. It may have just been a weird me thing. I’m weird sometimes. Clearly. 😅I say all that to tell you this: if for some reason you have the same reaction as me at the very beginning, keep going. I promise it'll be worth it. And it catapulted itself back into 5 star territory, and I remembered why I love Keller Fitzwilliam so much, not to mention Princess Lilly. The thing I loved most about this book—well, there were a LOT of things I loved—but the thing that made it stand out from the other things I've read from Meghan was the mystery element! I LOVED it! I love romances with that hint of mystery, and this was more than a hint. It was huge part of the plot, and I was so here for it. I thought I had it figured out several times, and while my original hunch was *partially* right, I didn't totally have it, so for that, I give major props.I also loved seeing the deeper side of Keller and Lilly's relationship—more emotion and less spice. Was there a lot of spice? Yes, in the second half. iykyk. and yes. it is as h o t as always.TROPES:👑Princess Diaries but make it sp i cy👑bodyguard turned prince-to-be👑romantic suspense👑one bed👑miscommunication but NOT in the annoying way; in the way that goes well with mystery plots👑v v spicy but also sort of slow burn at the same time (you'll see)👑praise👑*very* interesting positions👑found family (literally)👑fun side characters👑LOL momentsAlways check TW.

ROYALLY IN TROUBLE by Meghan Quinn
Loved it! If you have read Royally Not Ready then you have met Lilly and Keller. On this one we start right where we ended which is now with them planning their wedding. I absolutely love Lilly she is absolutely hilarious. I was definitely not expecting this story to go the way it did. I was just expecting a conclusion to their story and it be them going rejoice their wedding prepping which they did. However we get so much more. We get o see just how much Keller is still struggling with the idea that he’s marrying above his station. He doesn’t feel he should marry Lilly because he is not of royal blood. We get to see what happens after the engagement that it’s not all rainbows and butterflies oh no. We see just how Keller and Lilly's relationship is put to the test. How they once again must go through many obstacles different once from the first book to obtain their happily ever after. We have some suspense, angst, and drama that had my emotions all over the place. We still have all the things we love which is the funny banter along with humor and laughs however I will say there is some things that will make you want to scream for sure or maybe cry and scream at your kindle at the same time. However it all ends as it should and you will love every single second of it. I absolutely loved this book and I can almost guarantee you will too. This is a book I definitely recommend.

Has it all: romance, angst, mystery, suspense
This is the sequel to Keller and Lilly's story, begun in Royally Not Ready. This one picks up with the pair planning their royal wedding. Although they're deeply in love, perfect for each other, and eager to be married, the stress they encounter during the planning stage and especially certain traditional rituals is creating a rift between them. Outside forces threatening to ruin their happiness adds another, deeper layer of stress to the situation. (That's related to the mystery element of the story, which is a major part of the plot.) The angst in this story made me emotional. I truly felt for Lilly and Keller. There is definitely spice in this story too, but, due to certain events of the plot, it doesn't play a big role until later in the story. I liked the first book, loved this one even more. I'm a relatively new reader of this author. To date, this is my favorite of her books. It delves deeper into Keller and Lilly's relationship. their feelings for each other, and demonstrates the lengths to which they'd go to be together. They truly deserved their hard-won HEA. I highly recommend this one.

Miscommunication trope for the win
Royally In Trouble (Book 2) by Meghan Quinn4/5 ⭐️5/5 🌶️Ok, ok - I know that I rated the first one 5/5 ⭐️ but hear me out. This took me way too long to read. The 20 minute chapters were so daunting. It took away from the book, and honestly it was tough to get through.Of course Meghan knows how to bring you back so you want more, but there were times where I almost gave up - but I didn’t. Not only did I need to know what was happening but I also needed to know how Keller and Lily’s story ended.Keller frustrated me so much in this book. The miscommunication trope really sometimes can drive me 🦇 💩 crazy - and Meghan truly did that to me. I cannot stand for the life of me constant miscommunication- and that’s all this seemed to be for most of the book.I also felt like the 🌶️ parts weren’t adding to the story - like it was being used in place of actual communication and that truly drove me mad. This book also doesn’t hold the same rom com 🌶️ that we are used to with MQ so it took a bit to overcome that. But all in all it was a wonderful story and it wrapped up beautifully.📚

Great Book!
I love Meghan Quinn, but this story felt slightly different to her usual ones. I think because of the action and tension in it, I found it a unique style. The romance was good, too.I look forward to reading the next one in the series.

Wonderful book
I felt everything while reading this - I loved most of it, I 'hated' Meghan around page 260, I was annoyed, I laughed out loud, I cried and as always I was thoroughly entertained. When you start to read be sure you don't have anything else to do before you finish, it's addictive!

The perfect follow up to Royally Not Ready
“𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆. 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 . . . 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕.”𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒔.“𝑾𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆.”I truly cannot see through my tears. I loved this so much even if it ripped out my little soft heart in the process. This installment of Keller and Lilly's story isn't an extended epilogue but a story plot with so much depth that keeps you turning the page wanting to know what's going to happen next.Royally Not Ready is one of my favourite Meghan Quinn books and I have been waiting for Royally In Trouble for so long and it didn't disappoint. It was angsty and heavier than most of Meghan's books but the spice is TOP TIER. I was not expecting the amount of suspense that these characters endure but it worked! This was like watching a tv show and I was hooked. I'm also really glad I decided to listen to the audio because all the emotions and drama hit me so much harder.Keller Fitzwilliam truly is one of my favourite MMC and I will never stop championing for him. I love him in all his arrogant, broody, dominating ways but we truly saw a much softer side that had me crying. His love for Lilly is so large that he may not be the best at communicating but the way he protects Lilly is beautiful. I really love their relationship and they deserve all their happy endings.I also love Keller and Lara's relationship. This duet was just so needed and I truly enjoyed seeing new and returning characters. I just loved this so bloody much even though I feel like my emotions have been put through the ringer. If you haven't read the first one I cannot recommend this duet enough.

What an emotional journey!
Lilly and Keller face some very large obstacles on their journey to getting married…. Their love for each other is repeatedly tested, both intentionally and inadvertently, and some gaps are highlighted. This story was very emotional and it had quite a mysterious/suspenseful sub-plot at play right the way to the end. Overall, it was a very well-told story.

What a journey!
Phew! I couldn't put it down. Keller and Lilly's story gripped me from the first book and wow. Meghan Quinn sure knows how to keep you hooked! I was laughing and crying throughout. What Keller went through was devasting but their love story prevailed. Beautifully written and I highly recommend!
