I don't usually write reviews, but this car ashtray is pretty great. I like the way it looks and it feels pretty solid. Unlike the last car ashtray I had, this one can actually hold a cigarette in place. I love that you can unscrew the bottom, which makes it so much easier to empty out and clean. The top is a simple lift open design, which I like because the ones with the press down/flip up tops always seem to get stuck and/or break (like my last one did). I know the battery life for the little lights on these things never lasts long so I appreciate the extra battery that came with it.

I have had this ash one year now. I'm just changing the battery and writing this review. I don't know why anyone is having issues with it durability or light function. Mine still looks brand new. The few things that could be better or they could find a better way to replace the battery. The way the cap opens seems like it could break at some point. I like that you can use a 2025 or a 2032 battery. It seems like the ashtray could last a lifetime if they redesign the battery compartment which is the lid to be something that comes apart and goes back together with more than just pressure. And thanks to the person who left the video review of how to change the battery.

I only received the ashtray ( likely purchased before the additional items were offered), so I can only speak on that. It has served its purpose, the light is still going, although it does flicker occasionally, and I do not smell the ashtray at all. I do put cigarettes out completely, and empty any remaining tobacco, before putting the butt in the ashtray; however typically there’s still an unpleasant odor, but not with this.

My light doesn’t come on or stay on unless I squeeze the lid so this is total junk unless it’s daylight out cause it’s black and you certainly can’t see it in the dark without the light. No instructions on how to get it open so I can see if it’s a battery issue or what. I’m furious I spent $10 on a worthless light up car ash tray that doesn’t light up when a $2 would’ve done the same.

Love the ash tray. The light is very helpful. The bottom twist off so you can conveniently empty it or if you drop something in it you can get it out.
