Pleasant with it, I used this for about 6 months. Wide angle it's very good and the night capture with variable iso works very well. The only downside is the led is quite strong at night until you get used with it.

I can recommend this Philips model
If you need a simple, straightforward dashcam which records high quality 1080p video, I can recommend this Philips model.Note that there's no GPS with this, so if you travel far and wide it probably isn't for you.The only niggle is the terrible audio quality - something that's not very important 99% of the time.

Good when it records, but you can't rely on it
I've owned the ADR 810 for about 4 months now. I feel it's time to write a review, having tripped over some fairly fundamental issues that were not apparent in the first few days.Initial impressions:Positives: small, light-weight, good picture quality, especially in dark conditions.Negatives: feels cheaply made, no lens cover, no battery (shuts down a few seconds after it is unplugged)Overall, I felt that at the 'deal' price that I paid, this was worth the money (the asking price is a Philips price - but this sadly is NOT typical Philips quality). After living with it for 4 months, the positives remain, however, there are a couple of major issues which mean I'm seriously considering returning this as unfit for purpose. Here are my main complaints:1) The lack of battery: this has several negative consequences: - you cannot use it unplugged - nor can it record once the ignition is off, save for a couple of seconds. If an incident occurred while the ignition was off (such as just after parking), this would be useless, even if it was in 'emergency record' mode. If your accident caused the device to lose power, it would lose valuable footage. - after a week without use, it loses its internal memory (date / time, settings) and apparently you have to set these again otherwise NOTHING IS RECORDED! Having just returned from a week's vacation, I hit the emergency button save an interesting incident that happened ahead of me, and when I checked the camera later, nothing had been saved since I'd returned. This is despite the light on the camera going blue / red indicating that it IS recording. What a good job I was curious and discovered this before I came to rely on it.2) The blue light on the back (ie. facing the driver) is very bright. I have mine hidden behind the rear view mirror, but at certain angles you can see it, and it can be distracting in the dark.3) The footage is blurry when the car is in motion - it seems to be extremely sensitive to vibration. Number plates are barely legible at any distance unless stationary. (not something I appreciated until I examined footage and tried to read one).4) Slow startup time. Sometimes, the camera boots - then shuts down - then boots up again when I start the car (possibly because the power fluctuates as the engine starts). The time varies, but at worst, this causes the camera to record nothing for up to 30 seconds after starting the ignition. I thought I'd captured a near miss where someone cut me up while pulling away from a petrol station, but later discovered that all it captured was me stopped behind them. It totally missed their 'manoeuvre'. Again, a good job I didn't need to rely on the footage. In summary, I've completely lost confidence in this device. If I fail to spot that it's lost the settings, it pretends to record, but doesn't. If I drive away too soon after starting the ignition, it might miss the first few seconds of my journey. Even if it does capture an incident, will the blurry details be any use?

Great quailty dashcam from a recognisable brand
If you're after a simple dashcam with excellent image quality day or night no matter what the weather that just works then I highly recommend this Philips model of dashcam. It doesn't come with a micro sd card in the box but the vast minority of dashcams available don't anyway but you can pick up a fairly decent card like the Samsung Evo 32gb micro sd card off amazon for less than £10.The microphone on this is ok not outstanding (that's if you decide to turn it on) but it picks up conversations fine and the odd bit of the radio but it's ok for what I need if ever an incident occurs.I like the fact it has a emergency record button on the power adapter which saves the hassle of trying to reach across the dashboard to press the button on the camera should the unexpected happen.I've been using this dashcam for just over a month now without any problems and if you manage to buy one when amazon have it as a lightning deal you've got yourself a bargain!
