I guess I can say sturdy and CUTE LOL! I ordered the "purple" one, but it is actually pink. Keep that in mind. Okay. I have to admit that gravity and I have this special kind of relationship. I am gravitationally challenged. In English that means I drop stuff a LOT! Ha ha! And here comes ANOTHER back surgery, but this is just a mini one. For all of you who are familiar, you know I still have to mind my BLTs: Bending, Lifting & Twisting. The only thing I have left of my first grabber is the stick. It had started falling apart piece by piece. I didn't throw the stick away because I use it to slide the curtains open! HA HA! Of my GOSH!! Now THIS grabber is 1000% better than the first one I had for about the same money! Let's start with the handle grip. It's large and rubberized and fits very comfortably in my hand. When I say "large" I don't mean that's It's so big that a smaller hand would be uncomfortable. I believe it's perfect for all sized hands. The design and contours and the trigger pull all go together for a comfortable fit. The stick itself is a hollow squarish tube, 2 parts that are able to be disjointed in the middle and folded in half. It doesn't come COMPLETELY apart, but is kept together by the stretchy cord. This is very handy! The picker upper is also COMPLETELY lined with silicone/rubber! My first one was not & stuff slipped out. This is fantastic! I just had to pick up a full water bottle, and the gripper hung on TIGHT to it! No slipping out even though the bottle was heavy! So big heavy things, plus small bottle lids, medicine bottles, pieces of paper, TV remotes... you name it & I've dropped it! HA HA! And I've gotten them all picked up! One cool thing that I didn't notice until I got it in person is the little magnet on the tip of one of the pinchers! You definitely won't go wrong with this!

I am short so grabbers like this are very useful when it comes to reaching things high up in my house. However, the grabbers I had before were from the dollar store and very flimsy. Since I was about to have hip surgery and would need to use a grabber a lot, I figured I should get one that is better quality. So I got this one in purple and black. It's great! It's strong, not too heavy, has a good reach, and even has a magnet on the side of one of the pincers to help pick up tiny metal things like pins if you drop them! I kind of feel like I want a couple more now to put them in different areas of my house so they are always right where I need them.

We seriously have these reacher tools stashed all over the house!!! Between having three elderly folks at home (all with different mobility challenges) and some very short family members (hi, it's me!), these are basically part of the family now. They come in handy for EVERYTHING! From grabbing dropped items off the floor, reaching into tall cabinets, and even helping my parents play fetch with our dogs again! That one might be my favorite. They hadn't been able to keep up with bending over to pick up the ball again and again, but now they're back in the game and our dogs are loving it! It's such a simple tool but makes a huge difference in daily life. We're big fans and will probably keep buying more to keep one in every room!

Help grab things when I broke my foot works great

I like this grabber. It arrived well packaged and very easy to slap together. The only reason for 4 stars is because I wish that it had more strength when needing to pull something such as a pillow. It would work better if there was a better grip on the grabber clamp. I love that there is a magnet on one side. It has helped me find and pick up small metal objects that I may have never even seen and probably wouldn't have been able to get a hold of. It provides a comfortable handle and seems durable. I appreciate that it is available in several different colors. Other than the firmer grip, it functions as expected and you can't beat the price.

I am very happy with this grabber. It can pick up larger and very small items. It can pick up my empty 32oz Hydro Flask. It can also pick up very small beads. I got it particularly to pick up small beads. I make silicone picky pads and drop quite a lot of beads. I'm in a motorized wheelchair. So bending to pick things up or reach them on high shelves is difficult. This grabber works much better than my last one, and I didn't think the price was bad. It doesn't feel heavy to me. It seems like it will last a while.

This has a great grip. I used it alot after my hip replacement!

As a diffABLEd person, I have several of these reacher/grabber gizmos around my apartment. My favorite one actually broke very unexpectedly and I was amazed to see the obvious flaw in its design. With that in mind I paid close attention to the features of the models I looked at when I went to buy a replacement for that broken one. The one that broke was a shorter model than most available (by about 6 inches or so, depending on the model you're comparing it to) and I was sad to find that there aren't many shorter models available without paying relatively high prices for them. I didn't want to spend what I had on the model that broke, even though it worked great while it was in one piece. I decided to get one of the average length models, even though at times it is harder to retrieve items from the claws while you are holding them securely closed, especially when picking things up from a seated position. I looked at the prices, and the mechanics of the trigger mechanism (so as not to get one with the same defective design I had just discovered the hard way) and also considered the colors available, to make it easier to keep each one in its designated place of use, and decided on this model. While this one doesn't really feel as diligently manufactured as my other one, it does have all the features I wanted, including an attached magnet that isn't in a location making its use awkward, and claws with a well designed pattern for gripping small items. I do have some of these devices that do NOT work well for grabbing small things and that makes them much less user friendly. It is comfortable to use, even though I wish it were a few inches shorter. This model is light, and that may or may not be representative of its quality. That is yet to be seen. It is doing a good job for now and we will see if it offers the longevity in its quality that I'd be delighted to see given it's great price point.

Purchased for my mother-in-law who is in an aged care facility and has limited mobility. Makes it easy for her to pick up items accidently dropped to the floor. Works well.
