Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask | Protein + Moisture Balance Conditioner for Dry, Damaged, Color-Treated Strands | Vegan & Cruelty-Free

I always stock up on Briogeo's Vanilla Birthday Cake hair mask whenever it comes back in stock or goes on sale. I prefer this scent over the original. It reminds me a lot of Sol de Janeiro's Bum Bum Cream (that warm salted caramel and golden pistachio vibe), but wrapped in layers of vanilla cake and topped with a rich, homemade buttercream. As a gourmand girlie, it smells incredible to me. The mask itself is very rich and nourishing, so I avoid my oily-prone roots and keep it focused on my lengths and ends. It does an amazing job of smoothing and softening my dry, color-treated lengths of hair. My hair is fine, but this doesn't weigh it down at all when I keep it off the scalp. It leaves my hair feeling noticeably stronger, silkier, and more hydrated, with my split ends looking sealed and less frizzy. The vanilla scent lingers lightly in my hair after rinsing and drying, and it's creamy and comforting vanilla, but not overpowering. Overall, this is one of my favorite deep conditioning masks, and the birthday cake scent just makes me happy, along with the cute, limited edition packaging. I pray that they eventually make a chocolate cake scented mask as well.

I am not one for fancy products, and I did not expect to think this conditioner was going to be worth it. To my chagrin, my hair is the softest and smoothest it's ever been. I have a curl between a 3a and 3b, I've been using this conditioner as part of my weekly wash for a year and a half and it is incredible how much easier it is to control frizz, define curls, and eventually comb and detangle during the next wash. Like all products it isn't for everyone, but I have tried a lot of conditioners, and this is the best one I've found for my hair for sure; it is noticeably healthier, to both me, and my curly hair stylist.

The color is white, the smell is clean, and after the 4th use I did notice my hair looked healthy and seemed stronger. After highlighting my hair it caused it to tangled more, but this product acted like a conditioner and was able to detangle my hair. It is a bit pricy but well worth the money since you do not use much and works like it said it would.

My hair has thee biggest attitude right now and this stuff is helping to tame it into submission until I figure out the root problem. Even my hairdresser thought it might be helping my dry split hair. A little about my hair, I am 50, my hair is natural and is 75/80% gray and 20/25% gray. I have sparce hair but it has a lot of body and looks like I have more than I do. My individual hair strands are not thick, and are relatively thin. I am unable to use any oil products in my hair because they don't penetrate the hair shaft they just sit on top. As of late my hair has been falling out at alarming rates due to I believe sciatica issues and high intake of motrin. I will tell you I did not like it at first and did not see anything until 4th week, I used it once a week and I had to use in shower not bath. I don't know why, maybe I wasn't rinsing completely in bath but it works better in shower. Side note, I also switched to bar soap and conditioner so I would use this in place of conditioner, I tried doing both once and my hair was greasy.

This mask saved my dry ends. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and manageable. This keeps my curls healthy, defined, and looking amazing. Great value for your money.

I love this! It works great! Super moisturizing and leaves my hair soft and shiny! And I LOVE the birthday cake scent! I’m addicted! I have long, thin, fine, damaged hair that’s colored and it doesn’t get weighed down. A little goes a long way and you only need to use it about 4x a month so it’s definitely worth the price.

I have 3c/4a the curls. I bought this product a few months ago and was looking for something to repair some damage. I saw a little of a difference but to be honest, you can get way better products for cheaper prices. Even my at home oil treatments I make myself work better. I will say, it leaves my hair veryyyy soft and smooth and hydrated to the point where I could just rinse it out after shampoo and wear no other products all day. I’m not necessarily saying it doesn’t repair damage, just that it’s super overpriced for how little of a difference is there. For quality, not liquidity or thick, kinda in between. Me and my sister shared this bottle and got a good 10 uses (5 each) in total. Although our hair is medium length, we have thicker hair so it ran kinda quickly. Product was okay not bad. Recommendations: I’ve been just buying jojoba oil (or you can buy any organic carrier oils such as coconut oil, rosehip oil, grapeseed oil) and you can choose to heat it up for a few seconds or leave it alone up to you. Let it sit in your hair for an hour to two hours and then wash hair. This is so super yet so effective so try this for a start.

This deep conditioner is the truth! Very affordable and does the job! The trick for kinky curly hair is to use heat when using this and also use when needed. It is protein based so too much usage can cause protein overload so use when needed but briogeo doesn’t miss! Detangles my hair and adds shine!!

I have very thin, fine hair that’s wavy/loose curls and had never used any products to take care of it so it was very frizzy and damaged even though I never use heat or dye. It would get very dry and I had split ends right up to my root, so I used this to try to help repair some of that and help with the dryness. I’ve only used it a few times up until now, but it has helped so much!! The fragrance isn’t too strong and doesn’t linger or leave a strong smell in my hair which I like because I’m a bit sensitive to strong fragrances, and it made my hair so soft and genuinely has reduced the frizz so much, and hopefully over time it will help repair the split ends a bit too! I highly recommend and definitely will be buying again, so worth it
