It is heavy for its size and absolutely gorgeous. And its eye looks deep into your soul!Post Christmas Update -- Got one for each of my grandsons (ages 9-11-13). All three were thrilled with their present and the 13 year old spent over an hour on Christmas day writing in "my journal".

The cover is thick, heavy, and sturdy, and the texture and depth of the 3D cover is amazing. The eye is a good one, and with a thick heavy eyelid, you get a sense that its really looking at you. The pages are thick and are a yellow-tan colour to make them look aged. I'm very happy with it!
