These water cups are fairly easy to install on a large bucket - drill the holes with the included drill bit, push in the cup, and screw on the wing nut on the inside. However, you’ll want to make sure you are drilling the holes high enough for the cup to droop all the way down without touching the ground. There are also double sided sticky pads to use on the back of the cups for a better hold onto the bucket, but doing so requires you to line up the cup so it’s not tilted when you are pushing it in the hole you drilled. I ended up with a couple that were a bit crooked and the sticky pads are strong so it isn’t easy to pull them off to straighten. The crooked cups don’t start filling automatically - I have to push down on them to start the flow of water. Those cups also fill to maybe two-thirds before the water flow stops. One of the cups that is straight seems to occasionally have a chance of having a continuous trickle which causes it to overflow. Other than that one, the other cups work well, filling almost to full before stopping.

These are super easy to install and really saved me some time. The weather has been hot and what we were using for water included me constantly filling it to be clean or they somehow would spill it. I found these to be a lifesaver. I no longer need to fill constantly and the water stays clean. We did have that was faulty and would leak no matter what but the remainder are perfect and we attached to a square style bucket. Totaly worth it and easy install!

The concept is awesome but these are cheap cups that at least half will not level up and stop running.I had high hopes for these cups for when the chickens are in free range mode.1. Concept is great!2. Easy to install, sure is.When water is added to the bucket and the cups begin to fill. Some just slowly keep filling until the water is gone. That equals dead chickens in the heat.I am fairly handy at repairing and figuring things out. It took a short amount of time to install but several hours to figure out how to stop the cups from continuing to run.I finally put a tiny screw in them to keep the cups at a halfway fill level.If you get some of these expect it to take longer than you thought.

This is probably in my opinion the best set of chicken waterer’s on the market right now. I am so glad they included so many extras to make life easier. I just recently started raising chickens again and this has really been the best waterer’s I have used to date! They include an extra set of springs so if they wear out you don’t have to go buy all new stuff. You simply replace the parts that wear out. They even give a special brush to clean them out. That is perfect for keeping algae from growing in your waterer’s after a few weeks of usage. This was super easy to set up especially since they include the drill bit that is needed in order to install them on the 5 gallon bucket. If you have chickens you definitely should have these! They also work for other animals as well because of the wider mouth area on the bowl. They literally have made my life so much easier with this kit!

To start with, I’m not using these water cups for chickens. I take care of community cats and wanted another way of providing clean water to them when I saw these. All of the cat gravity water fountains for outside fill from the bottom which is annoying. With these cups, I can attach them to tubs or buckets and just fill the water up from the top and put a lid on it to keep it clean. The cups are super easy to attach and as an experiment I attached two to an empty churu container. The cups filled well and stopped when they tipped down and were full. I set the container on a raised block and it worked perfectly. A couple of the cats investigated right away and after first pawing the water started to drink. The set comes with 10 cups, a drill bit, and all of the screws and sticky tape you need to attach them. Overall, these are a great way to provide fresh water to all kinds of animals.

Our ducks and geese drink from these with no issue. Installed them in 5 gallon buckets easily with a drill. No leaking so far, but they've managed to get gunk into the little hole a couple of times and I needed to blast through it with the hose nozzle. They still splash, but way less of a mess than an open container of water!

The washers aren’t strong enough to tighten in the back and it causes bowls to not sit perfectly straight against the bucket and the water just continues to leak into the bowl. Don’t waste your money.
