Works great, strong scent
This shampoo did a great job stripping my hair and scalp of excess oil. It lathers up very well and easily washes out. I'm not a fan of the scent - it's a bit too perfumey for my taste. This is a product that one should use sparingly and because of that the bottle will last a long time making reasonably priced. I don't regret getting to try this and am pleased with the results, but I don't see myself buying this down the road because of the scent.

Great for your scalp, a potential wallet shocker
When I first moved to this state a couple of years ago, my scalp protested. It wasn’t the whole head, just this stubborn spot on my crown that itched like crazy. Nothing helped, and I had to be seen by a dermatologist.I was told I had dry scalp and once I followed the doctor’s recommendations my scalp healed, I still continued using clarifying shampoo once a week and more moisturizing shampoo on other days.I’d been using a clarifying shampoo from a brand you can find at the local drugstore that came in tiny 133ml bottles. This Shu Uemura clarifying shampoo, specifically designed for scalp issues like mine, comes in the 400ml size. The other product costs a third as much per ml as Shu Uemura, a higher-end brand. I also own several Shu Uemura makeup products, and their consistent quality across the line reinforces the brand’s reputation.Quality-wise, the Shu Uemura shampoo is worth it for its gentle luxuriousness. My scalp doesn’t feel stripped of moisture while cleansing. The bottle is this bright yellow, but the shampoo inside is clear. It lathers up really well, and I only use two pumps for my weekly wash. My scalp feels clean without that tight or dry sensation I’ve gotten from cheaper stuff, and my hair doesn’t feel ‘dry’ either. The scent is a little citrusy, but not overpowering. So no, you won’t smell like you just washed your hair with lemon dish detergent 😅Even though it’s pricier, the Shu Uemura shampoo will last a long time since I only wash my hair with this once a week. It’s definitely not the cheapest option out there, but the quality and how well it works make it worth trying.

The best clarifying shampoo I've ever used
I have very thick hair, and seborrheic dermatitis which means that even though I don't use hair products, my hair gets oily fast. With most shampoos removing sulfates, it has been hard for me to find decent shampoo that truly cleans my hair. I hadn't any experience with this brand before, but I'm sold. The first time I used this shampoo, my hair was the cleanest and softest it has been in YEARS. Honestly, my hair and scalp were completely rejuvenated. And it lasts. Since I have long, thick hair it takes more shampoo, but this works so well I only have to use it every few washes, alternating with my other shampoo. Because it works so well, the bottle will last a long time. The scent is subtle but lasting; i love everything about this shampoo.

Perfect, will repurchase.
Lots of lather, very clarifying. I have fine curly hair that is very protein-sensitive, so I have to do a clarifying wash at least twice a month if not more. Absolutely love the smell of this too. I used to buy a chelating shampoo from another store but they no longer carry the product and I am boycotting that store, so this item slots in perfectly. Please note, it is VERY clarifying, so be sure you are ready for that. Your hair will have no slip after this, get ready with the right conditioner.

Treat your hair and scalp weekly, pricey, used once a week to maintain my hair and scalp health.
I am always looking for the best hair shampoo, hair cleaner, scalp stripper, effectiveness of the product, and value for the money.I have an oily scalp, and I am always looking to reduce the amount of hair care, or scalp care product I want to keep spending time and money on.While the product weight is 13oz, and the it's on the pricey side of things, it's well worth the price spent as after using this the other day in the shower. My scalp/hair wasn't greasy, and sometimes with cleaning shampoo's, my hair get very dried out with our hard water showers, but not with this shampoo.Overall 4 stars, I just wish it wasn't as expensive, but you get what you pay for, so I try to use this once a week to make it last longer as part of my scalp/hair care regimen. The smell is lovely, nothing obnoxious, flowery, and citrus tones, I do like it.

Deeply cleansing shampoo
This clarifying shampoo deeply cleans without over-drying, making it ideal for oily scalps or occasional buildup. The citrus scent is refreshing but not overpowering, and a little goes a long way. It’s pricey, but the quality and longevity make it worth it for weekly use.

Cleans without stripping hair
This clarifying shampoo has a light citrus scent. The shampoo creates a LOT of lather, so I only used two pumps for my armpit length hair. It cleansed my hair without overly stripping or leaving a "squeaky" clean feeling. I do not have an oily scalp, but use a clarifying shampoo one to two times a month when my hair needs a more thorough cleaning from product build up. At $62.00 this is definitely a higher end shampoo, however this is not an everyday shampoo and a little product goes a long way.
