This review is for the BELEY 48PCS Thread Chaser Set.This kit includes the 48-piece thread chaser set and a molded carrying case. The kit includes a mix of SAE and metric dies and taps in many of the most commonly used sizes and thread pitches. The thread chasers are stamped with a size, and the carrying case is clearly marked to help you to keep things organized. The case holds the thread chasers securely for the most part--a few of the rethreading dies located near the handle fit only loosely in their slots, so they're prone to falling out if the case is tilted while it's open.I tried several of these chasers on various nuts and bolts that I have laying around the shop, and the taps and dies both worked as advertised: there were no issues with the stated sizes or thread pitches that I could find.The only limitation I can see with this kit is that I think it's best suited for renewing existing threads instead of creating new threads. I'm not sure how well these would hold up if you were to try to use them for that purpose. Otherwise, if you do a lot of work on older vehicles like I do, this kit is invaluable.

When delivered I went ahead and opened the case on kitchen table JUST to find out there was an issue with the parts in the case missing and having doubles of others. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE SETTING ON SHELF!!!!! Other than that mishap the unit is great for the price and the seller issued a replacement immediately. They seem to be heavy duty enough for the automotive industry

This thread chaser set works well for what it’s meant for. It works very well on aluminum and steel part threads that have corrosion from use. The thread files have two sides to them which gives them a wide range of threads they can work on. The only issue I have with this set is the thread size markings on the dies. The smaller sizes can be difficult to read. Other than that, this set is very useful for people working on older vehicles/machines which may have corrosion, threadlocker, or dirt clogging up the threads. One star deducted for hard to read markings.

This is a nice set of thread chasers in SAE and Metric with a decent case for keeping them organized. I will say that this is a thred chaser set. It's great for cleaning up a thread that might have a little burring or messed up threads. I don't this will be good for creating new threads in a hole that you have drilled. I will do some more testing and use and update if it is capable of doing that.Good set for those nuts and bolts that need a little cleaning up and straightening out the thread pitch when you don't have extra nuts and bolts lying around to replace them with.

I am knocking off a start because a couple of the male chasers have some heavy burrs on the threads see photo 2. I was able to remove the burrs with the thread file included in the set. It's important to note that these are not intended to cut new threads but rather to clean the gunk from as well as to smooth out rough or deformed threads. For that they work better than a tap or Die that would cut rather than reform/bend back a deformed thread.
