He is fairly new, so I hope this review will be useful to some. I needed something welded, and this specific product is what he said to order.Here are a few things I liked about this Flux Core Mig Wire. We were welding in a bit of bad weather. It was raining fairly hard, but the wind was only blowing at a constant low speed. This Flux Core wire had no issue at all placing a nice smooth bead. He also had to weld at an odd angle behind the axle of our trailer, while on his back. I was a little skeptical, but the weld was nicely done, even at this uncomfortable angle.We also had to weld a few more spots on the boat trailer from all different angles. Since it was so wet and windy outside, we pushed the trailer into the garage. I really thought the garage would fill up with a whole lot of smoke. There was a little, but I was expecting much more.I also liked that the wire came nicely sealed and wrapped in aluminum, similar to a Mylar bag used for food storage. It was very well protected.Perhaps I got a little extra wire, but mine weighed 2 pounds and 6.5 ounces. I did weigh it in the box, however. I can’t imagine the box weighing 6.5 ounces though. I’m sure I received about that amount in extra wire.For the quality and price, it was a good decision to get this product.

If got better results but this is a solid product for the price. I am not a professional welder and my results are absolutely no benchmark but from my limited experience this one is somewhere in the middle. Definitely gets the job done though. Four stars from me!

Very happy with the RILAND flux core wire paired with my Hynade welder. I have used stick and MiG welders for years and recently added a small flux core rig for portability. I had heard the type wire used is important and some are better than others. The .030 wire that came with the welder worked very well . I had picked up some wire locally but it honestly looked rather dull and dirty. This wire was really well packaged; I was surprised to see it sealed in Mylar, which was a good touch to prevent oxidation. The only issue with the roll was that the edge of the spool was chipped. It didn’t prevent the spool loading and running well. I think that was problem with shipping than manufacture; looked like it had been dropped.To test the wire, I ran a few short beads on a 1/4” coupon. Penetration was really good at 50A (lowest setting available at 220V). Also there was almost very little scale and the weld had little porosity.; nice and solid. There seemed to be a little more spatter than with some wire, but way less than most of the really cheap spools from big box stores.Definitely would recommend this as a good consumable for flux wire.

Does it feed? Sure does.Do the welds look nice? Well, as nice as I can get them with flux core wire. They aren't any uglier than any other flux core wire I've used.Have I had any problems welding with this? None caused by the wire.Does it fit a .035" tip? Yep.That's basically all I ask out of flux core wire. This fulfilled all of my needs without issue.
