High Quality Product
I have tried several products of Rosonway and I have been very happy with this USB hub. It feels great to hold and looks even better. And it isn't massive, which is important when on the go. Build Quality: I have bought Rosonway products before. This fits really nicely in my hand. I could comfortably get this into a bag or backpack. I travel a bit, so space is important to me. This not only feels well-built but also is just the right size. Packaging: I have really taken to liking the packaging. The box has all the info you would need but isn't overly flashy. Nearly everything is biodegradable, which is important to me. Even the box and packaging inside feel high quality, like the product itself. Interface: This has more than enough USB for a normal user. I can't image ever needed all 7 usb ports at the same time. With that in mind, it has a 10Gbps bandwidth, which really helps increase the headspace of all of the USB devices I would need. I might not need to use a majority of the ports often, but when I do, I know the bandwidth will be there. Overall: As other products I have bought from the Rosonway brand, I find all of the products, including this 7 port USB hub, always exceeds my expectations and seems to check every box I look for when buying this type of device. Cons: If I had to come up with something, it would be because I am trying to be objectively fair and find something to consider as a con. But honestly, I don't have any complaints at all. I love the way it looks, feels, and fits on my person. I highly recommend this USB hub.

Good product
Works as designed no complaints

No backlit ports
Works really well, but there is no backlit ports making it hard to connect the USB sticks in a poorly lit area. 4/5 stars, if there should be a model with backlighting in the future, that would be 5/5 stars.

Versatile usb hub
I have used some different usb hubs to charge multiple devices at a time and connect various devices to my laptop. These days, almost everything you purchase has a USB charger. I am finding the need to put hubs in various parts of my house. Some of these hubs only accommodate a few devices and you have to unplug one charger to plug in another charger for a different device. This charger has 7 ports. That is enough for my iPhone, Samsung phone, my Fitbit, my husband's Fitbit, my CPAP sanitizer, my husband's tablet, and one more device. That is a lot of devices that can charge all at one time. I like that this charger has some weight, but not too much weight, because I have pulled over my tower hub when I have attempted to use my phone while plugged into the hub. This unit will not topple over or fall off the counter with a slight tug. Because my desktop computer got too old and slow, I have switched over to my laptop to do all my work. I prepare tax returns, so I use my laptop at clients' homes as well as plugging it into my monitor at home and using it as I would a desktop. I like that I can plug the hub into my laptop and attach all my devices to the hub, and when I need to load up my laptop and go to a client's house, I only need to unplug one USB and I am on my way. Same thing when I get back, I only have one USB to plug back in and I have my keyboard, mouse, external hard drive and whatever other flash drive I have plugged in. The choice between USB and USB-C is helpful because my USB port is on the left of my laptop and the USB-C port is on the right. Depending on which side has more room, I can choose which side of the computer to put the hub on. I also liked that I could unplug the hub and take it to my room and plug it into the wall with the enclosed A/C adapter and use it for my many devices charging in my room. One night I even took it to my kitchen to charge my phone and battery pack while I was sleeping. It gives greater flexibility to be able to charge just about anywhere. I have not tried it, but I bet that it would even work in the car to charge the whole family's devices on that long road trip where everyone needs to stay entertained and you do not want the phones to die. I would definitely recommend this hub to others. I also like how compact the USB hub is. Like I said, the towers fall over and are cumbersome, this little hub fits in my backpack, luggage, computer bag, or anything else I want to carry it in. The only thing I am missing is an HDMI port, but it is my understanding that USB-C is required to power HDMI. Maybe a later model will be strictly USB-C and will have an HDMI port, but then you would lose some of the versatility of how to plug it into your computer. For every improvement, there is a loss of functionality in another aspect.

Failed at 7 months
The ports each one by one started dying at 6-7 months. Tried to contact seller but only got an address in China. Chatted with Amazon customer service and they said they could do nothing. Pick a different hub. It worked fine until it died but I can't give more than 1 star for this.

Great hub
The aluminum body has a nice heft to it which helps keep it in place on the desktop -- the power wire weight doses not pull it off. Both cords, power and USB connector, are of sufficient length to allow easy placement where needed. Previous ones I've purchased have a short USB wire. Plenty of pets to connect multiple thumb drives and peripherals. The individual on/off switches are helpful to me as I have a USB powered fan, light and personal humidifier on my desk. This allows me to turn those on/off without reading clear across the desk {this saves clumsy me from knocking over my coffee mug!) The LED indicator lights are small so they aren't disruptive in a darker room but are still visible.

Webcam video jittery, USB drives keep disconnecting
Seems to work just fine with my scanners, but not with USB drives which keep disconnecting even when the computer is being actively used - my Logi C920 webcam was showing distorted jerky video today with off-center frames until I bypassed this USB hub and connected the webcam straight into the computer which fixed the issue immediately - power cycling this USB hub, computer, or even all connected devices does not solve this erratic behavior - it does charge earbuds and phones okay, but that plus accessing the scanners is about all I can count on it to do correctly.

Did not work with a 30m optical USB extension cable.
Did not work with a new [expensive] 30m optical USB extension cable. A mouse and keyboard worked fine but a portable hard drive had issues. The drive would connect and disconnect repeatedly when I simply lightly touched the metal housing on the USB hub. I honestly don't know if the 30m cable or this hub was the issue, but they did not work together. Before you ask.. I did have the power supply connected to this USB hub.
