One of the best books if 2021. Desperately waiting for book 3
This is one of the best books written in this genre. the author is so skilled in her plotting that every twist and turn came out of the blue and shocked you to the core. the ending left me wanting the next book as soon as possible. there is great character development. all the characters develop throughout the book and changes in their behavior don't seem abrupt. the foundation of trust between Oli and her bonds develops organically.I have a more detailed review belowWriting styleThe writing style is very refined and it doesn't come out as flashy. The tone is very contemporary and the reader doesn't get bored.CharacterisationAll the characters, leading as well as supporting are very well written. they are fleshed out in such a way that even their day-to-day interactions dont seem trivial and their banter is enjoyable.Pacing of the storyIn my opinion the story have a medium pace. It is a balance between character driven and plot driven story. Neither the relationship building nor the plot is compromised in this book.Characters-Oleander Fallos - She is 19 years old. she is the central Bond to Gryphon, Nox, North, and Atlas. A lot of information is revealed about her powers. She is a very strong fmc who stands up for herself .Gabriel - He is 19 years old and goes with Oli to the Draven University. He is a shifter. He is more affectionate towards Oli and realizes his mistakes.Atlas Bassinger - He is 20 years old and also accompanies Oli to the university. His power is revealed in this book. He is very protective of Oli.Gryphon Shore - He is 23 years old and the commander of Tactical Team. He is a very considerate person and doesn't come to wrong conclusions easily he is the most level headed member of the bond group.Nox Draven - He is 23 years old and he is a lecturer of gifted history in the Draven University. He is a broken hero and although his past trauma is not revealed but it is evident that it has left him damaged. There is a very slight improvement in his behaviour towards oleander but I am sure that when he will come out of his shell then he will be one of the most adored characters in this series. He is best friends with Gryphon.North Draven - he is 28 years old and he has a seat in the gifted Council. He is is the leader of of their bond group and he is the one who usually takes decisions for their group. He is a bit controlling but this book reveals his softer side which he tries to cover with an impenetrable attitude to avoid getting hurt. The book also has other supporting characters such as Sage who is Oli's best friend and have the power of fire. She has a very small plot line of her own which adds to the plot without deviating it from its main story arc. Then there is Sawyer who is Sage's brother and Gabe's good friend.Felix who is one of Sage's love interest.Kieran who is Gryphon's second in command. He really grew on me in this book.Overall this is a great story. I was a bit hesitant to dive into this because I have never read this genre book before but the story is great in itself so I think you would enjoy it a lot. This is the second book and you need to read the first one in order to comprehend the events.Best of luck to J bree for writing the third book because she has set the bar very high.

I liked it
Okay, so the story goes a little flat or boring in the middle but it picks back up towards the end.

Obsessed doesn't define my feelings
Just realised this may be my 6th or 7th reread but i never reviewed the book. Or did I? And does KU ask for reviews even if it's already given? Anyway, i friggin love this series from the bottom of my heart. And this book holds a special place in my heart because, if you haven't guessed it yet, Gryphon is my most favourite. So I would say this book/series needs all and more hype possible

This was so savage...
J Bree has this amazing trait of projecting her characters as kickass yet vulnerable. Be it Oli or even Nox...yeah yeah even Nox.Savage bonds has the right amount of drama and suspence that makes it an amazing sequel to what is turning out to be one of the best and hottest series this year has to offer.I loved how even the lateral character growths were made along with the leads. That what makes Savage bond such a great read. I cannot wait for Blood bonds to hit my kindle in December...its gonna be epic too!PS: The cliffy in Savage Bond is what, Savage is, in this book 😉😉😉

Okay what?!
What was that cliffhanger?! I'm just so confused about why things ended like that? Oli is quite powerful so being "the bait" makes no sense to me. Also the scene with the chip got me thinking if I missed something.. Didn't all of Oli's bonds know that she was chipped after she was brought in by the Tac Team in the beginning of book one? What am I missing?!The story moves in a moderate pace with Oli back after the incident that ended in the previous book. Everyone is spooked out by her and is threatened by her 6 membered bond group because apparently everyone has really strong top tier powers. The Resistance is still on the move while Oli refuses to divulge all her secrets to her bonds.I don't know why but for some reason Nox reminds me of Ash Beaumont from Hannaford Prep with his pissy attitude! I love how the guys have made more of an impression in this book. Gryphon..damnnn that guy made me blush with his dirty talk. 😳 Thankfully, North has also redeemed himself to a tiny extent. But I just can't help feel that something is up with Atlas!! Maybe it's a me thing. Because he suddenly accepted Oli and didn't care about what she did in the past. And how did he suddenly realise *everything* that Oli is capable of?! That whole dialogue towards the end where he explains her actual core power seems kinda weird. Like he knew it just like that?! How?!!!There wasn't a lot that made me sit on the edge. I wanted so much more to happen and was pretty disappointed to see the book end too soon! Also, is it weird that I find a lot of Lips in Oli? There's a scene with her wearing a playsuit and I couldn't stop comparing it to the exact same scene that happened in Play The Game, down to the tapes and the extra short playsuit that seemed almost obscene to everyone. I don't know.. I'm just pissed that another character shares similar-ishhh scenes to one of my favourite characters. It's crazy because both these characters belong to J Bree, but I just can't help being weirdly possessive over Lips and her story. 🤷🏾♀️

Loved it
The covers of this series are some of the coolest I have ever seen. Honestly! 5 stars!Back to the book ...the steam and all the angst finally came to a boiling point and the scene between Oli and Gryphon was 🔥🔥🔥🔥.More twists and turns, more action , more betrayal and really more than 300 pages of pure awesome

I am in awe!
J Bree, take a bow. You've done it again. This book was mesmerizing. Also, I cannot deal with the crazy cliffhanger you left us on. How am I supposed to deal with it?

I’ve been on edge the entire time while reading this book!
If I thought the 1st book was amazing, the 2nd book blew it out of the park! Exhilarating is the best word to describe book 2! And damn they leave you on the best cliffhangers. I’m soooo glad I found this when the series is already complete, and there’s lots of books in the series. I devoured both books in less than 24 hours, and I’m off for the next several days? I’m immersing myself in this series. I’ve so glad that I finally got Kindle Unlimited right before I found this series because I’d be throwing all my money to keeps continuing this series. The spice was very low, maybe more of a slight simmer in book one. But book 2 brings the spice. Not a lot, but I really like slow burns for a long series, and the story is so dang good that I honestly didn’t miss it very much. Which says a lot because I normally like my books as filthy as the plot is deep, dark. This book has everything. And plot twists and surprises I never expected. Like I was shooketh who and why she bonded with 1st. And the characters development is getting really good. I don’t get why people are saying that she’s victimized herself too much. I feel like everything she’s been stripped of and is battling with is completely justified, not to mention she’s always only worried about everyone else dying… not her. Soooo, take that as you will. Just go in knowing you’re going to want to wait till you have plenty of time to read this book because you will get absorbed into this story. There’s no filler, everything that happens in part of the plot. I didn’t once get bored enough to skim read or put the book down.

Crazy good!
This book did not disappoint! Everything that was good in book one continued in this book. The sizzling banter, the strong fmc and the crazy mmc’s. You do get more spice in this book and again. It did not disappoint. As soon as I put this book down I went after the next in the series. Well written, amazing characters with each their personalities and equal depth. I just love it.Because of the innuendos to self harm and the reverse harem trope with the spice I would not recommend to anyone who has those as trigggers as well as readers under the age of 18. Otherwise this is definitely worth a read!
