This is the best dig activity I’ve purchased. Lots to find. Good bugs. Took us quite a while to hammer out. The 2 little frames to display are amazing. Good quality with ample activity time. Boys are 3 and 6 and they both enjoyed and were were able to split. Nice to have magnifying glass included as well as glasses. Would buy again. The bug cards could have been better, but still educational and enjoyed.

This kit turned out to be an awesome experience for my son from start to finish. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but it ended up being both really fun and surprisingly educational. The digging process was engaging and was like a mini excavation. Carefully uncovering the “amber” pieces made it exciting, almost like being a paleontologist or archaeologist. Once he revealed all the bug ambers, they looked absolutely beautiful—clear, detailed, and really cool to display. Each piece had a unique look, which made the results feel special and rewarding. What I liked most was how informational the kit was. It included information about each insect, which added a great learning aspect. It didn’t just feel like a toy—it actually taught something in a hands-on way that made it more memorable. Overall, this dig kit was a great combination of fun, creativity, and education. The process was enjoyable for both me & my son, the results were impressive, and we came away having learned something new. I’d definitely recommend it for kids or even adults who enjoy interactive and creative activities.

Kids enjoyed the exploration for bugs.

My grandkids LOVED this! They loved all the tools to break the “rock” and the brush. Also the magnifying glass. The insects were very realistic looking and they liked the cards that identified each insect. It’s a little messy so I just put it in a large baking tray and let them enjoy. Win win for this grandma

Everything is great except 1 of the bugs wasn’t completely covered by the resin (“amber”). Just the tip of its abdomen, so not a big deal. My kid loved it

My kiddo loves this so far! It has entertained him for hours. It definitely takes a while to carefully chisel out the little amber specimens. The bonus is it takes a while, so he stayed entertained for longer. The set came with very cute informational cards, safety glasses, and a chisel. My son was disappointed it did not specify what kind of scorpion was in the set. Otherwise very happy though! It was a good value for the price.

My great grandson loves this! It kept him busy for hours. He is very into bugs right now at 6 years old.

Fun!

I ordered it with some fear due to the bad reviews and people stating they were missing pieces or had duplicate but everything was great with my kit! We gave it to a friend's daughter who's obsessed with insects and bugs for her birthday and she absolutely loves it!

I bought it for myself (because I am a big kid and I love bugs). It was fun and the bugs are cute ! Quite harder than I thought to dig out the bugs; you have to get in there for real hehe
