A must have for any mobile photographer. So versatile and fun. As with any product made by these its built amazingly well. highly recommended

This has become a go-to light as it's easy to use, the app worked well for me and made it easy to set it up and go back to do several shots in several days, but go back to the exact setting I needed. The digital display makes it easy to know it's set up exactly the way I want it. Great compact light and battery life seems decent on it as well. Overall it's a great light and it just does what I want it to do, and does it well. No complaints at all.Pros:Good battery lifeApp works well (I've only tested on Android so far)Loads of scenes (you can pre-set some scenes in the app and get cloud backups if needed)Very brightColors seem very accurateSolid build, doesn't seem cheaply made in any wayCons:So far noneNote - but not a con:It's a bit big to be on some cameras (it dwarfs my GoPro, for example), so keep in mind how you will be using it. If you're using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, it will still be large, if you're using anything smaller, it might be best on a tripod rather than on your camera as it may throw off the balance a bit.

The lamp is bright, 290 Lux @ 1m 5400K and 910 Lux @ 50 cm using the regular diffuser. The output is good, 300 Lux is my personal target for videos, thus a 1 m working distance for one lamp, or 1.5 m if I use a second lamp. I will be using it more as an accent light or backlight than a main light, but in both cases, it is a decent lamp.The newer app works good, I got a couple Neewer devices connected with it, and it works like a charm for me, most of the time I'm alone controlling the setup.The lamp can be charged, or at least be powered, while being used, it may not charge at full speed, but it will prolong the usage time, and will help keep the device useful once the battery get holder.The FX mode is something I really like for shooting special short scenes, or for accent at Halloween. It includes typical effect like cops, flashes, light bulbs, and power can be adjusted, but not the speed.

First, let me say that this is a potent little light. Given its dimensions, I did not imagine that it would affect a scene as much as it does. Particularly at the higher end of the color temperature range, this thing moves the needle perceptibly.I have not yet been in a situation where I’ve used it by itself other than to play around with some of the various – and actually pretty neat – lighting effect modes in otherwise low natural light. The stuff that I need lighting for these days is pretty mundane and straightforward, but I would have been beside myself to have a few of these effects in my back pocket while I was making projects for school.Personally, I have enjoyed this light as a shadow eradicator. With its compact size, rechargeable battery, cold shoe, and ¼” thread ball head adapter I can put this light almost literally anywhere I need it to compensate for my fixed lighting errors elsewhere. Shadows, be gone!The app is neat, intuitive, and easy to install…even on my old off(ish)-brand, Android based phone. Android jokes, be gone!Most of my other lights were made by NEEWER and I’ve been quite pleased with them over the years, so I’m not terribly surprised that I also like this light. Although it is not something that I will use in every situation, it is definitely one that I’m happy to have in the utility bag. I’d rather have it and not need it than the other way around.
