HNI Fluence 3D with headrest
Although I have been asked to review my purchase from the sales team but these are going to be my genuine views on this and are in NO way influenced by anyone. Having gone through innumerable chairs online in the price range of 10k- 15k I had narrowed down on 3 specific ones and ultimately went on to buy this one ( HNI Fluence 3D with head rest ).Pros:1. The seat is really wide and very comfortable. Can easily sit for 8hrs without any discomfort or backache.2. The back support is cruved inline with the spinal curve of the body to help in better posture maintenance.3. The handrests are made of some sort of hard foam but are perfect for comfort and can be adjusted up/down, front/back, outwards/inwards ( although I would loved had they been a bit more longer since sometimes I need to adjust my elbow while writing and it goes of out the handiest).4. The wheelbase is amazingly smooth and doesn't create any hassle while moving the chair.5. The assembly of chair was simple and easy since it doesn't has to be bolted by our end. It's just 3 pieces ( wheelbase, hydraulic piston, seat ) which u need to place one over the other.6. The height of the chair is perfect for me and my feet can reach the floor while having my back supported fully by the chair ( I'm 5'10 / 72 kg ).7. It's a completely made in India product ( HNI has its own manufacturing unit in Pune) unlike all the other hyped chairs in the market which are basically all outsourced from China ( you can see the same model of those chairs being sold by different brands under their name ).8. I had done some research before buying this and had found out that this Fluence model was made keeping in mind the ergonomics and body postures of Indian population ( and having been using this chair I can say that it's actually very comfortable).9. Comes with a 5 year warranty ( 3+2 years extended).Cons:1. Okay so here is the main problem. I paid an extra 1500 for this headrest version which doesn't provide support to the head while sitting straight. The headrest is curved inwards so it's of use only when u want to relax and recline back however while sitting straight there's just no way u can get its support for your head. I feel had they provided with an outwardly curved headrest it would have been a lot better.2. It comes with an adjustable cushioned lumbar support but it's a bit loose and slips off sometime from its position. Had they given a mechanism to lock it at its place it would have been far better.Having said all this if you are on a budget within 15000 for an ergonomic chair this might tick all the boxes for you.PS: Other options which I had seen were1. Featherlite Amaze: I liked it's appearance and the overall features however the main drawback was that it's back is not straight so while it might be good to sit and relax but I doubt if it would be better to give you back support while sitting straight for a long time.2. Makemychairs Baleno cushioned model : it had good ergonomic support and also has the outwardly curved headrest ( which I am realizing now ) but as far as I know its also a China import ( since I have seen the same model being sold by different company also, I can however be wrong in this ). So I was a bit skeptical about the quality although their reviews are very good on Google.3. And if your budget allows they you can always go for the holy grails : Herman miller and Steelcase.Hope this helps you to make a wise decision for your chair.

Do not buy without trying it out
Bought this product after extensive review of the product descriptions, photos, reviews from other buyers and checking out the company website. The product build quality and looks is good. However, the backrest and headrest do not provide any support when you are seated upright. You get some lower back support, but upper back support is totally missing due to the shape of the backrest. When you lean back, that's when you get proper support. Head-rest is pretty useless unless you want to put your head back and look at the ceiling. The product is not bad, but just make sure it works for your seating posture and use before you invest in it.
