Great Value for Ice Cream Maker
Remember this one thing that threw me off at first, The timer resets back to 20 mins on the display when finished no matter how much time you set to begin with. Also note: it works better when the bowl is cold enough, so depending on your freezer settings you may need more than the 12 hours as indicated in the instructions. I have good success with 24 hours with my freezer. The results are a soft serve style ice cream similar to a Wendy's Frosty.. sometimes if my bowl is really ready and cold it gets closer to store bought ice cream in either case it works great and the results are what I choose to put in for flavors. I have used this almost every day for several months no issues.

Sweet Gratification For A Fraction Of The Cost 😊
Makes great soft serve ice cream! It's delicious immediately out of the maker but if you prefer a more frozen solid texture, this smooth and quite attractive gadget cuts the freezer time in half!

A big disapointment
When we received this item the box was beat up. When we opened it the top of the box was gone and a portion of some address was cut off the package. On the side of the box there was a sticker that said thanks for giving this product a second life. We did not buy this used, and we were not notified that it was used. Judging by how beat up the device is this thing was on its third or forth life. We can't say how well it worked because we never used it. We just sent it back as soon as we got it.

Not that quick & easy . . .
2nd UPDATE: The seller decided they could make it right after all, so I updated to 3 stars.UPDATE: After using this ice cream maker a few times the hinge on the lid broke (see picture). I contacted the seller, who said there was nothing they could/would do about it. I've reduced my rating to 2 stars because of the lack of helpfulness by the seller.ORIGINAL: This works okay. I've tried it with several different recipes and it either needs to be churned for longer than 20 minutes (you can set it for longer if you want), and/or it needs to go into the freezer for awhile to firm up. The recipes are all in metric measurements, and although it's fairly easy to use the converter on my phone's calculator, it's kind of a pain. I also use a kitchen scale that measures in metric units. My favorite recipe so far was the banana ice cream -- I added about 1/4 cup of peanut butter and it was great. I'd suggest being sure that all the ingredients are cold when you blend them, but don't use frozen fruit -- the ice cream came out very grainy when I did. It took me awhile to find the volume that the drum will hold (1.5L converts to about 1.6 quarts). It's kind of hard to wash the drum right after making the ice cream because it's still cold enough that the water wants to freeze! I do like the fact that I can make ice cream on a whim, as long as I've got all the ingredients!!

Unable to produce a batch of ice cream
I have been making ice cream for as long as I can remember. After my last maker conked out I decided upon this one. Followed manufacterer's instructions, chilled the drum, and chilled the ice cream base. The first go around we achieved a milkshake consistency. We froze it to hard stage, but the end result was great flavor with a very poor mouth feel. Second attempt I tried making a smaller batch of basic vanilla ice cream. This time the base stayed liquid. Strangely the unit automatically shuts off after 20 minutes, which doesnt seem to be a feature needed in an ice cream maker, and the overall construction, particularly the paddle, is flimsy.
