Gamilys 64 MB Memory Card Compatible For Playstation 2

This is 64MB just as it says, it is not a 32MB card being faked off as a 64MB card, it actually has 64MB on it, I used this on a hacked PS2's to play games off the hard drive after the DVD read heads go bad like always. I've got 3 of these, they all worked fine.

This memory card is just an unbranded generic card for the PS2, but it gets the job done. You probably won't find this much storage space for so little cost anywhere else.BTW, there's nothing really "fun" about a memory card, so ignore the "fun rating" associated to any of these reviews.

Well, against the better judgment of some other peoples product reviews here in regards to this 64MB's Playstation 2 memory card, I went ahead and got it anyways. I'm glad I threw caution to the wind here, for the memory card arrived earlier today in the mail and works 100%! There was no fussing around with it, no need to try any tricks like loosening screws, no need to format the card for it was ready to go out of it's packaging! I was able threw the browser feature of my Playstation 2 slim line silver edition, to copy over all of saves and config's to the new card. I just lessened the need to have like 7-8 8MB's memory cards laying around and having to swap through them to get the right card to match up with the right game. And one nice added bonus, the new 64MB's memory card is recognized by my slim line 4 player multitap and works as if it was plugged into the Playstation directly. So good stuff, the card works as described, card works 100%, no fussing with it was required, is read by the multitap and now has 58MB's of storage space left on the card! At this rate, and with the way I game, I'll not require another memory card for some time to come!

Couldn't get it to work right out of the package. I tried the trick suggested by one reviewer which involves loosening the screws a bit (seems they are often tightened too far in the factory). This didn't help, or at least didn't seem to. A day or so later, it miraculously worked... ...and then never worked again after that. I know, however, that there are a few out there that do work. I had one several years ago for my PS2 that didn't give me any trouble (this new one was for my son). Judging from the reviews, it seems that other people get mixed results from this product as well.In my experience, the 64MB is a shot in the dark. If you want to take your chances, then go for it. Just don't be surprised if you find out it was a waste of money. My suggestion would be to get the 8MB... several, if you need them. They're pretty standard, and I've never known anyone to have a problem with them out of the box.

I recently purchased this 64 MB Memory card, and I'm extremely happy with it. It was very cheap considering it was the only one I could find with decent space on it (64mb!), and it was and is in perfect working condition. I received it in a sealed box, the same one shown, and I was impressed to find that it was everything it was said to be. I highly recommend it for other gamers using the older systems (ps2 is best!).

this memory card isnt too great! i keep it in my ps2 & more than half the time when i put in a game, it cant even read that theres a memory card in it! even after removing it n putting it back in, it still doesnt read it!my recommendation is to spend a couple extra bucks n buy the actual PS2 brand memory card cuz this generic one is just that!

EDIT: The Memory Card refuses to load any of my saved data. The data is on the memory card, but it will not load on anything I want to play. Do not buy this. Seriously. Don't read this and be like: "Oh, maybe it was a bad shipment." No. It's a bad product. Don't buy it.I purchased two of these memory cards, like a lot of other people have, and when they had finally came in the mail, I opened them and wanted to test them. I put in one of them. It worked perfectly. 65MB. One whole extra MB. That was pretty cool. Then I opened the second one. I put it in my PlayStation 2 and read at the top left of my screen "7,997 KB available". That's almost 8MB. The memory card itself says 64MB, yet only has 8MB.Due to the fact that the memory card that is 64MB works perfectly fine, I'm giving this a two star review. If it had a single noticeable flaw, this review would only be one star. The other memory card that is 8MB works perfectly fine as well, this review is a low review because of the mix up with the MBs.

Diese MemoryCard ist klasse. Sie ist preiswert und hat trotzdem sehr viel Speicherplatz. Allerdings gibt es ein paar Probleme mit dem Kontakt(Anfänglich wurde sie nicht erkannt, jedoch wenn man sie etwas hin und her bewegt wird sie erkannt.Wahrscheinlich hatte sie nicht genügend Kontakt)! Aber sobald sie richtig in der Konsole sitzt, kann man ihre vollen Funktionen ausschöpfen. Von der Speichergeschwingigkeit sind keine Unterschiede zur Originalen bemerkbar. Bei Bedarf würde ich sie nocheinmal kaufen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Preislich auch.

Habe die Karte eingelegt, möchte ein neues Spiel (WALL-E) starten und einen neune Spielstand erstellen. Dann kommt die Fehlermeldung 'Das Verzeichnis konnte nicht erstellt werden. Memory Card überprüfen'. Dann habe ich eben so das spielen angefangen, später als ich Zwischenstände speichern will das gleiche Problem - es kann kein Speicherverzeichnis auf der Karte erstellt werden.Hab alles versucht, meine PS2 erkennt die Memory Card aber sagt, dass 'Defekte Daten' auf der Karte sind, die sich auch nicht löschen lassen.Die Karte kam zudem nicht wie auf dem Bild verpackt sondern lose im Umschlag.Geht nun zurück, denn sie funktioniert einfach nicht.

Diese Memory Card ist der letzte Müll!!!Zeigt immer an das sie formatiert werden muss,was aber nicht geht! #Geliefert wurde sie nicht wie auf dem Bild original verpackt sondern in einem Plastiktütchen!!!Das Geld hätte ich genauso gut verbrennen können!
