Apparently Peri Means Teenage Acne in your 40s
TLDR; the dispenser needs work, it's drying, but it works. Apparently, being in peri means you get to experience adolescence, pregnancy, and basically every other stage of your life in its biggest intensity and multiplied by 100. I never really had acne as a teen or as an adult. Peri hit and I have more pimples that my teenager! I already have a pretty extensive skin care routine, so I was already washing my face in the morning, at night, and also making sure to cleanse any time I wore makeup. But it seemed that even doing that, and using toner, and even mid-day wipes with all that extra sweating, I couldn't get the pimples to stop coming. And grrrl were they just showing up daily. I decided to try this because my local Walmart didn't have the CeraVe version of it (here in Hawaii we don't always get the same products) and this was a good price. It did get a little damaged in shipping, but they did package it well, so NBD. The first thing I noticed about this product was that I felt like I had to be the hulk to push this thing down. Now, I know in peri we begin to lose muscle mass and whatnot, but I just feel like I can't get enough leverage to push it all the way down like I would a normal bottle of hand soap. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, maybe I'm just getting peri-weak, who knows anymore?! The second thing I noticed is that it really dries out my face. After I wash, I pat dry and continue on with my morning routine. Within a minute or two, I can feel the tightness in my face because there is no more oils left. Which I suppose is great, because it's "working" but also not great if you don't have a good skin care routine to follow. For me, its not a big deal since I have several other products including a moisturizing SPF (can't forget this ladies!!) that addresses this concern. The third, and MOST IMPORTANT thing, is that after a couple days, I stopped seeing pimples and the ones I had cleared up. Could my pimples have been one of those seasonal weird things associated with peri? Or was it the product? My money is on the product. I've been using it every morning for the last 3 weeks and have had one tiny pimple that resolved in one day. Thats so much better than what it had been for a few weeks. I am happy with this product for sure and would recommend it to any other peri girl out there losing her mind with these pimples. Clearer skin will give you back one percent control over something in your life, and sometimes that's all we need to make it to the next moment. Hope my review made another peri girl there smile, chuckle, and remember that you are not alone through this crazy life changing journey! <3

Gentle Yet Effective 👏
I’ve been using this face wash for about a week now, and I’m actually impressed. It leaves my skin feeling clean without that tight, stripped feeling. The salicylic acid seems to be doing its job — I noticed fewer breakouts and my skin looks a bit clearer already. The texture is light, and it lathers just enough without being too foamy. It doesn’t have a strong scent, which I prefer. For the price, the quality is really good. I’ll keep using it to see long-term results, but so far it’s been working well for my skin. It doesn’t dry my skin out as much as other acne cleansers I’ve tried, which is a big plus. If you have acne-prone skin and want something affordable, this is a solid option.

Great product, crappy container
I use this mainly for keeping breakouts under control, especially around my nose and chin. It does a good job of clearing out pores without making my skin feel overly dry. It’s a straightforward cleanser that works well as part of a routine if you’re already using other skincare products. Pros: • Helps with breakouts and clogged pores • Doesn’t overly dry out skin • Good value for the price Cons: • Basic packaging • Might not be strong enough for severe acne Great everyday option if you want something affordable that gets the job done.

It works, but without drying or irritating.
Even as I get older, I still occasionally get oily skin and breakouts. I cleanse with a salacylic wash about 2 times a week, but it is a bit drying. As soon as I tried this cleanser, I could feel a difference. Although its a gel that foams, it stays soft feeling, with no scent at all. It contains salacylic acid, of course, but also has ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. That equals no irritation on my face and no dryness. My skin never feels tight or dry after using this, but it is really helping me avoid those random breakouts. The price is great too, especially compared to name brand products with similar ingredients. The container, although appearing to be just a plain pump for soap, is actually awesome because it dispenses just the right amount into your hand, so theres no excess and no runny mess. The product is thick and doesn't drip out on its own either. I'm a fan!

Good value, nice form factor
It sounds weird, but I bought this solely because of the square bottle and pump. I find myself using and wasting so much face wash when it’s in a tube and I really like the form factor of this salicylic acid wash. It doesn’t knock over in the shower, I don’t have to squeeze anything out of the tube and I’m not wasting excess product down the drain. Is it the best cleanser I’ve ever used? Probably not, but the price is perfect. I think it’s relatively gentle and really seems to clean my face. I’ve oily skin and the salicylic acid really seems to grab a lot of the dirt and oil without overly drying my face. That being said, my wife forces me to put on moisture riser so maybe that’s helping with any dryness. It’s fragrance free I think or at least there’s no noticeable sent… and I’m not fumbling around with bottles in the shower that tip over, which is the only reason why I care

Meh product
It’s ok but has a weird scent and the pump is a little too low so it’s hard to squeeze out into hands.

For sensitive skin
This will bring everything to the surface. I have sensitive skin and its great on it. No smell, its easy to lather and very gentle on my skin. I will use this before I used my face scrub to clean it. Works great and a little bit goes a long way!

teen says this is OK
Teen son asked for this to help control acne. He is happy with results. PROS: - quality ingredients (salicylic acid specifically) to treat skin - good lather makes for enjoyable washing experience - washes away well & does not leave a residue - does not irritate or make skin worse CONS: - he said he does not love the scent of the product but it is "fine"
