Good value, low cost comfort, mid-range audio and mic quality.
Good value for the price. I purchased two of these. .:: Raw Scores (not taking cost into consideration) ::. Microphone: (4/10) - Acceptable, but not great. Audio quality: (4/10) - Acceptable, but not great. Weight: (9/10) - Very lightweight, great. Comfort: (7/10) - Good. Wearable for 2-3 hours at a time without discomfort. Not great for longer periods. Thick/warm ear padding. Has a moderate-light clamping pressure and clamp padding is good. Spatial audio: (4/10) - Works but not good for any serious gaming advantage. Overall review: I think this headset earns 4 stars taking price into consideration. It functions perfectly and comfortably enough to use for a budget-friendly gaming headset. However, do not expect high quality hardware in this price range or you will be disappointed. It will not compete nor come close to $150+ headsets in quality but it's comfortable at a lower price range, which is very important if you're on a budget.

Good Quality Headset
I wanted a headphone/mic set that would allow me to take advantage of speech to text functions, dictation to AI and maybe even some gaming or music listening on the computer. These seem to check off all those requirements. First, these are very comfortable to wear. The 'cloud' name is appropriate for the ear and headband pads. They are adjustable for ear positions and the detachable & adjustable mic works well. The noise cancellation worked well enough for me as I don't hear any outside noise. I like the option for connecting as they have 3.5mm jack, USB and USB-C cables/adapter. With the USB cable adapter, it is more than long enough to reach my computer. The headphone sound was really quite good especially for this price point. The mic picks up sound well enough though comes though a little on the quiet side. Connecting was easy as windows picked it up immediately when plugged in and made it the default. I'm quite happy with these and the price was a good value.

It's good, not great
Pros... it's a functionable headset, does what it's supposed to do. Cons... Research told me the earcups were good sized even for bigger heads, they were talking about 10yr olds. Sound is good, DTS is good, but if you like to jam to music, I would think some corporate nanny (or Shyster) decided you need to keep the volume down, because this HyperX does not produce. Not bad, decent, not great. Probably in line with price, I'm happyish.

Severely Lacking Audio & Material Quality
Background- I wear my headset for work and gaming. On average 12-16 hours a day. I'm careful with my headsets, no kids, and I typically lay them on my desk when not in use or hang from my chair arm by the headband. I like to remove the Mic when I'm not using it. Cons- Cheap plastic fiber braided cord. I purchased the Cloud III since the headset cord looked a little better in the images then what I have experienced with the Cloud II's. I struggled with the II's having horrible vibration noise from anything touching the headset cord anywhere above the control box. Anything touching the cord is easily heard in the left ear. The smallest contact with the cord is clearly heard. The connection to left ear looked sturdy in the photos. I was assuming the that meant it would help dampen the cord vibration HyperX decided was a good idea to introduce via the cheap plastic fiber braided cord which they started using with the II's and now III's. That annoyance is exactly the same with the III's. The audio with the Cloud III's is weirdly distant. I attempted every equalizer setting I could including custom settings, updated drivers, used audio boosters, and yet it sounded like the majority of audio was suppressed in some weird way, making most things sound quietly distant. The bass is subpar to the Cloud II's in a major way. There are no foam covers to swap out with the Cloud III headset. It's just the same "leather" they use on the headband. Which will last you maybe a year and a half at most before it breaks down and begins to peel. I often swapped the leather for foam with the I & II's depending on the seasons or how hot it was in my office. The metal connecting to the headband feels cheaper and looks like it was less thought of in the design compared to the Cloud I & II's. I would imagine they would break quite easily when decent force is applied to them like dropping them on the floor from sitting height. Maybe I'm wrong about this bit, but they just seems like a cheaper material overall. Inbetween- Having the mute and volume control directly on the headset is a interesting choice, but again the material is plastic. I don't think it would take much force to break wither the volume wheel or mute button. Which would require you to replace the entire headset, and not just the cable or control box on the cable. Pros- The Mic is good, no foam on the mic and the quality seems better than the Cloud I & II's per tests I came across. The headset is comfortable. Headset ear room is slightly larger than the Cloud II's. Conclusion- I will be refunding the Cloud III's. I came up with a workaround for the cord vibration issue by making a small half loop of the cable by where it connects to the headset, and using a twist tie or small rubber band to hold the cable together without pinching it. This removes the cord vibration noise you get when anything touches the cable. But I would much rather wear the Cloud II over the Cloud III headset due to the other cons I have listed above. The Cloud III should not be on the market for their current cost of $100. A reasonable price for the quality would be $50 at most. HyperX should have fixed the cord issue with a damper where it connects to the headset. Their Support team informed me the cord noise should not be present on these headsets at all and stated it was a manufacture defect. Yet it's what they are putting on the market. I won't be purchasing HyperX products in the future since there is a clear indication they don't care about making products like the used too in the past.

Solid upgrade over Cloud II. Watch out for the awkward volume dial.
This headset is great. I love the cloud II. I love this more than the Cloud II. Sounds much better and I come in clear for my friends. The headset is comfortable over my large head and overall feels solid. I thought the sound was a bit low and muffled but it turns out that there's a volume control and it's easy to accidently lower it.

FINALLY--A respectable headset
This was the third headset I tried, and I'm sticking with them. My original, cheap "7.1" headset always sounded good on my PS4, but I wanted a new one when I got a PS5 Pro. I tried Corsair, which literally sounded like I was listening to my games through a tin can. So, I tried Razer--same tin can. I couldn't believe how these "PS Certified" headsets sounded so bad. I researched different configurations and tried them all--nothing improved them. Despite never hearing of Hyper X before, these are finally the headsets I'm not returning. I wouldn't say they sound any better than my original surround-sound headset, but they are comfortable and have a lot of convenient touches, like coming with all the adapters you could possibly need, and a detachable mic if you only play solo. Third time is the charm. If you are looking for a cheap-but-solid headset, these are the way to go.
