Rare Pieces Needed
We bought this book and the one for animals and they are both a big waste of money. They require very specialized pieces that are not included in the over 2000 pieces we have from 3 different classic sets. So frustrating. Every time we tried to gather all the pieces to build an item, there would be odd pieces that we have never seen causing us to give up on the item. Both books are sitting on the book shelf virtually unused.

I REALLY wish I would have read the reviews for this book because so many took the time to let us all know that the part of the title stating, "... Ideas to Make from Classic Lego (Brick Builds Series)" is only a partial truth. Yes you use some of the basic parts of the Brick Builds series for some of the projects BUT there are so many parts needed from other Lego series to make the items shown that it renders the book useless. This should be clearly stated on the information page so anyone buying this has a clear understanding that they will not be able to make the projects. I am happy I decided to kit up a few projects because that is where I found I did not have what I needed for any of the projects I wanted to make. I had made sure to purchase the Classic Lego Brick Builds Series too. I feel stupid that I was so excited to get this set and make things that I didn't take time to read the reviews. I am usually so good with my research! So back it goes and am happy I can get my refund. This was a complete disappointment.

Great concept because it has step-by-step instructions. But it requires special pieces that we don't have. We've had it since Christmas and haven't used it yet :(

Smart idea!
I ordered a whole bunch of these, there are many titles in the series. Gave them as gifts according to which kids like to build what. The kids were very excited to read through the books and shouting out "Look, I can make this! Look, I can make that!" Appreciated by parents whose kids play with a Lego set once and then never again.
