These rings actually do work … but it took me a while to figure it out. Yes, I measured the diameter of the umbrella opening carefully. It’s exactly 2 inches. The rings (which arrived very fast) simply did not fit at first. Now I understand why some reviewers complained. There is a small lip on the clip portion that fits onto the lower edge of the glass. This lip is what keeps the ring in place. So to be able to use the ring, you need to pinch it slightly or you’ll never get it to fit. It’s not easy to pinch because it’s not flexible plastic. The seller either needs to make these rings out of flexible plastic or provide instruction as to how to use it. Once it’s in place, it actually protects the table better than the ones provided by the table manufacturer.

This thing works well.. I wish there were a 3/4 size option as when I use it.. There is a lot of exposed wedge visible. If you are using a table that does not have a thin glass or metal top, you really have very few options. Practically nothing is made to accommodate a thicker table top.. I tried the plastic ring with the tabs that stick down.. but it just pops up when the umbrella moves a bit (a 1.65" hole for a 1.5" umbrella pole??). useless..I like this wedge pretty well but I hate the two color options. I have a bright white table. A white or clear color option for the wedge would be better for me, but like I said.. there are few options for a thicker table top. It could maybe be made of a softer material too.. Its pretty stiff.. I feel like it would 'wedge' in better if it were more flexible.

The media could not be loaded.  These are perfect for windy areas. Our wind is 35mph today and the umbrella is up and doing great. Umbrella is 9' and the stand in bolted to the deck with 3 lag bolts. The table moves when it gust but goes no where.Used both the top on that the table top goes through I installed from under the table so it does not show are much. The other is in the middle table brace.

Gave 5 stars because they are very sturdy material. I made a sizing mistake, to big for the hole in my table. Only went in about 16th of inch in. I will have to look for smaller ones.

The rubber grommet is like a tire in strength.I’m unable to review without knowingif it goes in the hole of the glass table or in the hole of the stand. A picture included at the site of purchase would really be helpful. I need to Goggle it to get a visual of placement.

Brilliant!!!! I recently moved and the pieces to my umbrella base flew off of the truck during the move. I tried to find the exact pieces online to no avail but am so glad I didn't because this works better! It fits snug into the base and around my umbrella pole. It is sturdier than before. I highly recommend buying this. I will post pictures soon. My umbrella pole is about 1.5 inches and the base is about 2.7. perfect fit!! I'm just thrilled!

The ring broke on the umbrella stand. This fits and now the umbrella is straight.

It's very sturdy and perfect for the job but it's to big for the hole in my table
