Ordered for my Chihuahua/Dachshund mix; he is 12 pounds. We had originally ordered a Small based on the size chart, however when it arrived it did not cover his entire length. We returned the Small and ordered a Medium, which fits him perfectly. If you have a Dachsund purebred or mix, please take this into account if/when ordering or considering your options.That aside, this item definitely does what it says it does. Our dog has had hair loss issues over the years, resulting in the loss of his overcoat on the back half of his body, so during the winter months a waterproof jacket is definitely required for him. The outer shell does not allow rain or snow to soak through, the zipper closure on the back works very well for a harness (or even the collar D-ring to poke through) to attach a leash properly, and the fleece interior lining works very well to insulate and keep him warm. The zipper itself has a rubber lining on the outside, to provide maximum water repellant function in spite of a leash being in use. It also serves to allow the tags to be displayed without having to dig into the neck area to reference them, should your pup run off on you somehow while wearing this.The feature I appreciate most about this item is that putting it on and taking it off is much easier than standard pet clothing. The head hole slips over the head, and the part covering the chest hangs loose while doing so. The fact you buckle it into place independently is a wonderful feature for dogs with joint issues or senior dogs, given that you do not need to guide their front legs into holes, potentially causing them pain or discomfort. This feature alone makes this item worth purchasing due to comfort for your pup, and ease of use for you.The price point for this item is also a benefit when compared to similar items, based on what you get for your money.

So we got this because our do has never seen snow before and he hates the rain. Worked great. Kept him warm up nothing and he had a blast. We even used it the rare times we have heavy showers and it works great.

She is therapy dog and young. I recently found out she has arthritis and has pain. This jacket has been a lifesaver so that she can maintain some body heat and enjoy her daily walk on cold days. She gives so much it’s nice to give her something. The jacket is easy to put on and takeoff. It fits well, even with her weight fluctuates some. The collar flips up on windy days to take the bite off.😁 I have bought so many dog things. This is definitely a win.!

We have a dog that loves to be outside, even when it’s cold out. I like that is is somewhat reflective so I can see him better at night. He loves when we put it on him.

Have a pig, the coat was a nice fit. Would buy a different color in the future!

My Goldador (half Golden Retriever, half White English Lab) is very friendly and loves to run, jump, and rough house with other dogs. I have tried several other coats and rain coats on my dog, but they all had velcro fasteners that pulled loose when she ran or were pulled on by other dogs when playing resulting in the coat coming off or being dragged in the mud. This coat has plastic snap-in clips that have never come loose. The coat requires no back leg straps so I don't have to deal with getting her back legs in and out of them, and she does not feel as restricted in movement. Muddy paw prints left on this coat by other dogs have wiped off with a damp cloth.It is well made and so far has resisted tears when other dogs have grabbed hold of it while playing. The reflective seams are nice when walking on dark winter mornings or seeing her when running in a field.My dog is 65 pounds and built like a Lab, her length measurement is 22", so I ordered the 2XL size and it fits her well. If she was any smaller the next size down might fit better.

I bought this winter coat for my 14 yr. old pit bull Sugar. She is 55lbs and like most pity's, she has a thick neck. I measured her before placing the order for a size large. The coat fit well around her body but was a little tight in the neck. I keep the Velcro at the neck loose. What I love is the fit around the waist; the adjustable straps are simple and well placed. Previously, Sugar had a coat that required pulling her front legs through...she hated it and so did I. The arm holes were tight and a wrestling match ensued in order to get that coat on. This coat is almost perfect: it is warm, reflective for winter night and morning walks in Sedona, and a recent camping trip. I would have given the coat a 5 but the neck is just a bit too tight, otherwise both Sugar and I are extremely happy.
