Boat cover
I was not impressed with the cover, it had no pads at the bow at front or the back two corners, I wish I had spent a little more and got better quality!

Do not buy
New boat owner. Cover did not come with any instructions. Didn't even get to tie down portion before internal tension line snapped. Worst product from Amazon EVER!!!

Great for 14.5' johnboat; not sure it'll fit up to 16'
About a year ago, we picked up an old 14'6" jonboat for fishing and puttering around on the lakes. We keep it trailered behind the house, and so far I've had a big silver tarp over it. It has always been a pain to get that on... almost a 2-person job, and it's always been a bit jury-rigged to get the tarp to "tent" properly to shed water and not create puddles on (or IN) the boat.I got this cover and put it on just in time for a big rain this past weekend. I've never had a "real" boat cover, so admittedly, this was a bit new for me. I had also gotten a couple of adjustable boat cover supports, which did help immensely. In lieu of another cover support, I generally leave the pedestal fishing seat in place up on the bow. That's where I started installing this cover. I will say that the elastic around the edge of this thing is much tighter than I had expected, and there's no way to loosen it at all. TIGHTEN, yes; loosen, no. I wasn't sure this was even going to make it to the back of my boat, but pulling against the elastic, I did get it on one transom corner, and then the other. I had to lower my cover supports a good bit to get this to cover the gunwales on both sides, but in the end, I got it done. The images for this cover show straps that go down from one point on the edge and return back to the same point. That's not how mine was made. As you can see in the photos, I had to clip a strap to one buckle, loop it under the trailer frame, and clip the other end to the next buckle on the cover. It still works fine; it's just not how it was portrayed.Even with a 14.5' boat and a cover listed for 14-16', the reflective strip at the stern is pretty much facing the sky. Parked in my backyard, I don't think that will ever matter, but if this is supposed to be a safety feature, I would want it closer to the edge of the cover so that it would face outward better.Ultimately, I got the cover on, snugged up so that - I hoped - it wouldn't collect water anywhere and would shed the coming rain out of the boat. In that respect, this cover performed flawlessly. I don't know if the fabric has a repellent on it, but the next morning, there was very little water even stuck to the surface, and there had formed no puddles at all. In the end, that's what the cover is for, and I can figure out the best way to support/strap/secure it as I continue to use it.

Other Uses For Me
I actually selected this item to use as a cover for my kayak instead of a boat. My kayak is 13' and a bit wide. The kayak cover I had did not even come close to fitting. While I store this kayak in my workshop, I like to keep it covered so it doesn't end up powdered with sawdust. Using a tarp is cumbersome and does not do the best at keeping sawdust off my kayak. The elastic edge on this cover makes it wrap my kayak up almost completely. And does not fit nearly as loosely as I had anticipated. For my use, I don't need any of the straps that came with the cover, but they seem to be pretty standard, but not overly cheap.Since I am not using this for its intended purpose, I can only rate it on workmanship and quality. Both are above average for this type of product and price range. This is a quality product that I am happy to use and recommend.

Great cover
Cover fits my 1448 Jon boat perfect. Straps make it easy and holds very well haven't had it blow off yet. And am 100% sure it won't be a problem.

Does not fit a 14' ski boat.
The media could not be loaded. Seems to be made good but does not fit a 14' ski boat as advertised. Cover itself is too small and the straps are way too short. Highly disappointed.

Much smaller than advertised size.
Way too small for 14 foot boat
