Pro-Sense Skin and Coat Solutions, 250 Tablets

I have a picky chiauhauh who was not crazy about these vitamins AT FIRST . I began by crushing to hide them in his food then I'd dissolve the tablet in a little water mixed into his food . In a very short time , he became accustomed to the yeast smell and readily accepted the tabs as a treat .I made sure I did not skip any doses .I tried these because " Spanky " was shedding a lot . I thought , it couldn't hurt !In addition to the Skin and Coat formula , I also purchased and began to use the Prosense Daily Multi Vitamin ... The combination is exactly as I hoped and even better than I expected ! Spanky's coat is soft , smooth and the shedding issue is not an issue AT ALL anymore ! People are constantly asking what " shampoo " I use on Spanky because his coat is beautiful . He rarely gets a full bath and nothing can explain this dramatic improvement , other than the Prosense supplements . I am pleasantly surprised that these tabs are so inexpensive here on Amazon ( I've never seen them elsewhere). I DO NOT WORK FOR PROSENSE OR AMAZON/ DIDN'T GET FREEBIES AND WASN'T PAID TO COMMENT I'm leaving this review because im really pleased with these supplements and the results . ..

Despite being pills and not a yummy chewy treat like some of the other Skin & Coat supplements out there, my puppy Henley gobbles these right up. I've had him on them since we brought him home 2 months ago (at 9 weeks old) and I've noticed a HUGE improvement in his coat since starting these. Initially, he only took one a day but quickly jumped up to two daily, and will soon be taking 3 a day (he's now 4-months-old and weighs 28 pounds). When we first brought him home he had really bad dandruff and was itchy all over (perhaps in part because of the food he was on). The pills have made his coat much softer and his dandruff is almost gone. Best of all, they don't cost an arm & a leg like some of the other supplements we've seen.

We were going monthly to the vet for a costly cytopoint injection for our itchy, allergy for baby. Then the vet that took over our location proved himself to be a money hungry bozo that cared more about charging an arm and a leg for everything, rather than the health of our dogs that we brought in like clockwork for monthly for his injection. I found out he was charging us about $20 more per shot than other local vet locations down the road. Jerk move, bozo. So I got super mad and started my hunt for alternatives. We now use these pills daily, along with another product we buy on Amazon called Vets Best Seasonal Allergy Relief. Needless to say, we have since noted that our dog has stayed relatively symptom free. He still licks his paws, but not like before to the point of cracking, bleeding, pain. We changed vets, and they did not see the need for our dog to get those cytopoint shots anymore, in fact, they would have never guessed he needed before them based off his current condition.My only complaint would be that neither of my dogs will eat these without some kind of disguise, we currently wet their dry food, crush and mix in their breakfast along with a spoonful or so of wet food that they view as a tasty treat. Is this an annoying meal process, sure, but worth it to save on costly monthly shots? Definitely. Luckily, with a pill crusher and practice, meal time doesn't take too long now.

I bought this for a dog whose coat had bare patches from her digging at herself constantly. The dogs coat was dull and thin, even after the antibiotics that were supposed to fix the 'skin issue'. Anyway bought these, she is almost done with the first bottle and she looks like a different dog! She has the typical Border Collie coat, black part is really shiny and full, and the white patches you can no longer see her skin, like you could before. I should have taken a before picture, it is an unbelievable difference in just three months. Added bonus: NO fleas and ticks. The other dogs still get ticks on them from time to time she hasn't had any at all. Great product for the price. It is one tab for every 10 lbs, so this bottle will last a 30 lb dog about 83 days. Also I just set them on the floor, and she eats them. She is the only dog that gets them, so it's a 'treat'. The tabs are small, about the size of an aspirin.

My 7 y.o. Cocker Spaniel has always had itching/alergy issues. We tried changing his diet to more expensive food with no improvement. One medication helped, but it made him a bit groggy and it was pretty expensive as well. I read about this supplement, and has stopped his itching problem with just two pills per day, he also seems to like the taste and munches them down like a treat. My other dog gets one too, so he doesn't feel left out and likes them as well. We don't have a flea problem, so can't evaluate on that issue. I do appreciate the inexpensive price and the availability, as my local store doesn't carry these. Thanks Amazon!

January 2021- I’ve been giving this to my dog for a month now. He doesn’t mind the taste so I can give it to him directly from the bottle like a treat. My other two dogs won’t go near it. So it’s hit or miss as far as flavor. My dog had a bad allergic reaction and was chewing his back raw. I took him to vet and they put him on some antibiotics and allergy medicine. I only kept him on those prescriptions for a week to help speed up the healing. Afterword I started him on these tablets and omega 3. The bumps, flaking and itching are gone. My dogs coat still looks dry and dull though. I was hoping this might make his coat a little healthier. He not itching anymore but not sure if that’s because we removed the source of allergen or these tables or the added omega 3 or a combination of each. It’s only been a month, my dog enjoys getting this each morning with his breakfast. Like a treat only he gets so I will continue to give it to him. He’s had no adverse side effects. He’s 11 lbs. I give him 1 tablet a day so definitely will last a long time. Hopefully the pills have an accumulative effect and I can update again in another month

I first bought this under Prosense's old label of 'Brewer's Yeast for Dogs' over 3 years ago, when we adopted our 10lb rescue pup. She came to us covered in fleas and needed a chemical flea treatment applied to her to get rid of them. She was super nervous and had bad separation anxiety, and after reading up on treatments, I got this as the B vitamins were said to help a dog stay in control of their anxiety. Coupled with a lot of training, we saw great results.6 months went by. Her coat looked fabulous, she was doing super well, and we were outside at the beach and in the grass all summer. Other dog owners were constantly complaining about how bad the fleas were, and how they were on multiple flea treatments and still their dogs were coated in fleas, while mine had no issues - mystery! That's when I heard from a trainer-friend that Brewer's Yeast is a known holistic flea repellent when dogs (and cats) eat it, something my vet confirmed for me. Mystery solved!Soon after, we adopted another 9lb dog who came to us with awful allergies and bare skin patches; we automatically started him on this Prosense product too so we wouldn't have to expose him to flea treatments and potential irritants from the pesticides in them. He has a great homemade diet with this as a supplement, his coat has grown in thick and soft, and like our girl he's never had a flea since he's been with us.I've told tonnes of friends with dogs about this supplement, and while the concept as a flea-repellent is met with initial skepticism, most of them eventually switch over and then rave about not having any more flea issues. I can understand why some vets aren't keen on recommending this due to the loss of flea-treatment revenue, but our amazing vet and other vets I know give this a thumbs up as it's beneficial for dogs *and* they can avoid having pesticides in a dog's system - win/win.My dogs love this for the taste (they dance for it!), I love all the positive effects it has on them, and my wallet loves the price benefit over applying monthly flea treatments. One tablet a day for each of my 10lb dogs and we're all happy! :) Highly recommend this!

I have no idea if this does anything for my pup. The tablets are about the size of a aspirin. No matter, my dog likes them.

I have two dogs. They are definitely shiner now but one dog got diarrhea. She is sensitive to food though.

Our cat loves them. This is the second bottle she is savouring.
