Works fine, easy to read, also gives ambient temperature. I use this meter to confirm moisture status on pressure treated wood determining if it's at risk for warping or shrinkage. Critical for making furniture.

Not sure how accurate it is, but for a novice like me it gives me peace of mind when it comes to my basement walls. Really easy to use, just popped in the included batteries (it comes with a screw driver to take off the battery cover), and turn it on. Mine was already set to drywall, but the SEL button switches between the different surfaces. I only have needed to use it for my drywall in my basement, and it's just a matter of putting the tool head up against the wall. It shows that my walls are dry, and I haven't been having any mold/mildew issues in my basement so far, so I'm basing the accuracy off of that.The device itself looks very well made, and the screen is large, crisp, and bright. Very easy to read and use. The included cloth zip around case is great for storage, I hang it from the attached loop handle.Overall, I'm happy I decided to get this. It's nice to be able to check moisture levels around my house when I'm getting paranoid about leaks and whatnot. Would recommend.

I’ve seen a lot of woodworking videos where a painless moisture meter like this was used to test slabs and rough lumber. I have also seen a ton of home inspection videos where a similar moisture meter was used to find plumbing leaks behind drywall. It was just too cool and I had to have one of my very own.The display on this unit does not photograph well, but is amazingly bright crisp and colorful in person. The different modes for hardwood, softwood, drywall and masonry likely provide much more accurate results than a one for all type approach. The included nylon zipper case is simple but well-made and well fitting. The only small fault I could find with the unit is that the power and select buttons tend to stick due to their shape, tho this may improve with some use. Overall it looks to be a quality meter and I look forward to using it on some rough lumber and slab projects I have coming up.

Nice moisture meter. Pretty accurate and great for the price

The meter is extremely accurate.Tested on some dry and I thought was dry drywall and it read the moisture content correctly.I tested on recently painted walls and it also could read areas I just painted a few days ago and indicated moisture .Tested on some hardwood and again had correct readings.The screen is bright and easy to read.The unit itself is well made and does seem durable.Comes with batteries and screwdriver to remove the battery cover.A decent case is included.

It was actually delivered, NOT just thrown on the doorstep.I have tested it in my motor home and got a variety of readings.The higher readings were where I expected them to be. Excellent tool for this money. No impact to measuring surface, immediate value measurement. Not sure to what extent accurate, but diretionally very good.

Easy to use and the readings are quite close to what my pin meter displays. This tool is a must for anyone shopping for a used RV. It's so easy to scan the walls and ceiling to look for potential leaks.
