CTM® Linen Hemstitched Handkerchief

This is a lovely product. We use them for communion napkins and they are as nice as the ones we did ourselves. One thing, I ordered 2 napkins and I got 2, but one was 12x12 the other 18x18. It would be nice if they were uniform size.

This handkerchief is quite well made. The quality of the hemstitching is very good. The fabric is excellent, very fine. This type of very fine linen is often called lawn. It was widely used 100 years ago for ladies summer dresses.Two things make this excellent handkerchief inappropriate for a man: the sheer fabric and the size. A proper man's handkerchief is made of heavier, meaning not sheer, fabric. The size is also too small.For a lady this is a great choice, for a man, no.

Very pleased with handkerchiefs. They’re the right size—12” x 12” or thereabouts, they have just enough “decoration” in the hemstitching to suit me and the stitching didn’t shrink too badly the first time I washed them. That is frequently a problem when the handkerchief is linen and the thread they’re hemmed with is cotton. Would like a better array of colors and edging(s) but I will still reorder.

These were very nice linen handkerchiefs, I ordered and received 6. When I started monogramming them I found that 4 were ladies size hankies and 2 were larger men’s size. This was not a problem as they were a gift for a nun who loved them just the same.

The hemstitching was too far from the edge for successful crocheting trim.

Handkerchiefs are hard to find any more. I found this one on Amazon and thought it might be like they used to be. I was disappointed by the very small size and seemingly poor quality. It is linen though.
