You need these for 1/16 hbx16889 and other same style rc trucks. The factory diffs wear out quick. Also Get the metal drive shafts and tire upgrade wont dissapoint.

Exact fit OEM part for HBX16890a 1:16 RC car
This differential was an exact fit for my HBX16890a 1:16 RC car. It's awesome you can get replacement parts for this sub $150 hobby car. It greatly increases the value of an item when you can rebuild it. the differential fits both the rear and front of the HBX16890a and I suspect it fits the other cars listed in the post. The gears are all metal, not plastic. The part comes ready to install. Installation of both differentials took about 30 minutes, there are two in the purchase so you can replace front and rear of a single RC car.
