Black Widow has been a favorite with fresh and saltwater anglers since its introduction. It’s a thin-diameter, premium co-polymer monofilament that incorporates multicolor camouflaging technology, so fish don’t see it. But that’s only one of the reasons you’ll love it. Black Widow is a supple line that lies beautifully on any reel and casts with near zero friction. It has low memory, so it won’t coil up after sitting on the reel for extended periods, and it’s a tough line that provides solid fish-fighting performance. For the record-conscious angler, it’s I.G.F.A. True-Test rated. Whether you jig for smallmouths, troll for walleyes, plug stripers, or chunk tuna, Black Widow is a proven performer that won’t let you down when the fishing heats up.

Better bring back-up
790 Yds 80 lb Test. I have been using this line now for about 7 months on multiple trot lines, jug lines, limb lines and pole fishing. I use this line as the part that runs from the swivel to the hook. Have caught some big blue cats on this line but you have to be careful when doing so. If you net your big blues while they are still in the water you wont have any problems with this line. However if your kids forget the dip net at home and you try to pull them into the boat by the line... it breaks every time. That's odd for 80lb line right? These three pics are blue cats me and my freinds have caught using this line, when we had a dip net to get them in the boat. Obviously I cant show pics of the ones we lost, when we had no dip net, that were this size and/or better. I've lost some really good bluecats on this line due to breakage while trying to get them in the boat with no net. Enough times I decided it's time to switch and let other cat fisherman know to beware of this line. I have since moved to another competitors line and this line breakage issue is no more and that's with no net. I tested it. There are other big catfish monofilaments out there that get the job done if you forget your dip net, I suggest saving yourself some heartache and getting those instead.

Easy to use and strong
Great line.. strong.. different in color.. hard to see in the water.. some kids came by me yesterday and were fishing. They saw it on my reel and asked about it.. They were like mini pro's .. it was my first day fishing.. they helped me a ton.. great kids here at Lake of the Pines in Ca.. Thanks kids..

Good line
Great Line! Low Memory. Slightly thinner than regular mono but not by too much. Probably just going to buy the hiseas mono which also comes in the same camo color for much less.

Black Widow 50# line
I ordered the 50# line, and have found it to be indestructible. The color camouflage sounds gimmicky but it actually works, and does not seem to compromise line-strength. You can choose between a black, red, or clear knot to fit your needs. The downside is that this line is quite thick, and you'll need a large reel and the right knots. The line "memory" is about average. I plan on buying another spool in a lighter weight for my smaller reels.

This is amazingly thin for 8lb test and casts beautifully. So far its been superior to the Trilene XL I've used for 55 years. Never thought I'd change until my buddy tried this and loved it. He was right.

no bad.
well im somewhere between it's ok and I like it. Not bad stuff, is a little stiff in the beginning so I recommend spooling up then dropping into a cup of hot water. Tends to have a bunch of memory. Wears really well Ive been 9 fish deep without retying.

This is a great product, and durable
My boyfriend pulled a catfish out over 100lbs and had no problems. A guy that was casting his poles across other people did it to my boyfriend, and my boyfriend casted over half the lake (over his lines) and pulled every one of his poles in the water and the guy tried to fight back but this line held up much better and broke all his lines, and the guy fell on his butt in the lake, it was funny.

Great line
I have used this line for cat fishing for many years the 20lb cast great on my Abu c3s have tried many lines but always come back to this it's never let me down I've seen people complain about strength of the line but I've reeled in 80lb fish on this line no problems just gotta let the fish run if your trying to force it in maybe you should look into something different
