Stabilizes my shoulder.
I found several ways to use this arm sling to remove pressure on my shoulder and stabilize it. It is possible to use it in a way that is easier to put on. Information is in the manual. I found it complicated to put on as in the photo, without hurting my shoulder. I had someone help me when I used it that way. It is comfortable and lightweight. Well made and inexpensive. If you need a lightweight arm sling that can be used in several ways and does work, check out this one.

Comfortable enough once adjusted properly
I got this arm sling to help with a rotator cuff injury. It's soft grey knit fabric wrapped around a non-stretchy core, so i got the non stretch of a sling with a bit more comfort. The video on the listing explains how to wear it, and of the three options I found that crossing the straps above my arm was the most comfortable for me. The strap is almost two yards long, at 71 inches, and long enough for just about anybody. In fact, for the best fit I need to cut off about a foot of the strap I received. One of the velcro ends is removable just for that reason -- that and because depending how the sling is wrapped, the second velcro strip needs to face one way or the other. I found myself changing the strip orientation several times as I tried the sling to find the best fit and the most comfortable wear. Although this can be a one-person job, if someone is in considerable pain it would help to have a second person to adjust the velcro ends and assist with fitting the sling. The sling is very easy to store wrapped and fastened as shown in the photo.

Multiple ways to use the sling
I'm not sure that I really figured out how to use the sling per the pictures that were included. However, I feel there are multiple ways that this can be attached (used); is one better than the other? Who knows. It provided support for my arm and in the long run that's all that really matters.

Feels good
This is a great simple design to keep your arm slinger. The slinger is easy to apply and is well made.

Works well but challenging to put on
This is a unique sling without the medical look. It works well for minor issue but I wouldn't use this to replace a medical swing. The strap is challenging to put on but once it's on, it's supportive. I like that this is also well padded.

So much better
So much better than those large arm slings. This is lightweight and very comfortable. Easy to put on and take off. Very soft material. Very sturdy and strong. Great idea

Nice, lightweight alternative to a full sling
I recently broke my clavicle when a car decided to turn into me while I was on my bike. I was not really a candidate (thankfully) for any treatment, other than immobilization. I got a super crappy basic sling from the urgent care center, which I supplemented with a fancier, better made one from CVS and then another alternative from Amazon. I didn't love any of them -- they were all more encompassing than I needed and they were difficult to put on myself. Basically, now that I'm 3 weeks into recovery, I just need something simple that keeps my arm weight off my shoulder.I saw this alternative from supregear and figured I'd give it a shot. It's basically a strip of soft, padded fabric that you snake around your body and then use velcro to secure everything into to place. Note, I'm about 6 feet tall and got a medium and the size seems fine. There is reasonably adjustability, so I don't think sizing needs to be too precise. The one downside of this is that the instructions are not great and it took a while to figure out how to get it set up correctly. But once you figure out the origami, it's actually easy to get back on and off and it's just a better solution for me than a more fulsome sling. The material all feels very soft at any touch points, and given it's easy to slip off and on, if you have to wear it over a jacket and then remove it and replace it after your jacket is off, it's a pretty simple operation.I'd defer to your doctor as to whether something like this is fine for your condition, if you need a sling -- and I'm not sure I'd want to use this any sooner in my recovery. But at this point, it's a really nice transitional sling for the rest of my recovery.

Lightweight but WORKS Great
The supregear Arm Sling seems rather simple and I had my doubts as to its effectiveness, but I was pleasantly surprised. It took a couple tries to get the sling attached correctly but once I figured it out I was very impressed. I have had two surgeries on each shoulder and there are days that I still wear a sling after a physically demanding day of work to take the pressure of and let one of the joints rest. The supergear Arm Sling will now be my go to sling. It doesn't cause any heat build up, my arm is free to breath and it's so lightweight that it is no bother for my neck either. The Velcro holds firmly but is esay to readjust.I also think that the sling would be a great addition to a first aid kit for arm/shoulder injuries because it is so versatile and would fit people from very large to very small. Awesome product.
