I’m a Linux enthusiast and don’t use Windows so I wanted to try this on Linux under WINE using FORScan. Works just fine! Run the following commands first (change out username for your username) and logout and back insudo usermod -a -G dialout usernamesudo usermod -a -G try usernameThen install via WINE, get your license and install in FORScan and you’re good to go. No driver issues just plug in and go and fix or hack whatever you want on your Ford etc. I used this to fix the hyper flashing LEDs on my Maverick. Super easy. Going to do a lot more hacks!For reference, Kali Linux 2024.3 / Ubuntu 2404.4 on a Surface tablet using FORScan 2.3.62 under WINE.VERY HAPPY! Don’t have to replace my LEDs now and can add more drive modes and a whole lot more! Way worth the $30!!! Connected instantly, easy to use/diagnose, very easy to read and understand. If you tinker with Fords or Mazdas, get this!

This review is for the cup holder tray from vLinker FS USB OBD cable to bu used with FORscan . I bought this to use with the Forscan tool, for my 2023 Maverick truck. After installing the updated drivers for windows 11, from the web site, I plugged this into my windows laptop and it was operational. No issues. I ran the latest version of FORscan and it worked without any problems. I plugged the cable into my truck and the software recognized the truck and ran all the module checks. Again no issues. It appears to be well made. The cable is thick, not flimsy. The instructions are clear, on how to get to web site to download updated drivers, and how to use the cable. There’s really not much I can add or say. I just worked without any problems. I would recommend it for use with Forscan. I have not used it for other cars or with other ODB software.

Use this on Forscan. Links up and program optimizes it for best performance. Didn't have to install any drivers or update anything. Laptop and program recognizes it. Plug and play for me. Automatically switches from high speed to med, no flipping switches.

It works after installing drivers, seems pretty fast but will try faster Baud rate see if it improves activity. The OBD end plug is hart to insert into the OBD port on my car. I have other ODB connectors and they all go in like they should, for some reason the one on this cable is hard and it has to be pushed in kind of hard, to my taste. It should go in nice and smooth but firmly, like to stay put. Maybe I just got that one that's to tight! Other than that works like a charm.

Works as described. Connected my ford truck to forscan with no issues. Highly recommend. .

This product was easy to setup. I was quickly able reset my transmission tables and that has resolved the hard shifting problems associated with the 10 speed transmissions.

Uncertain if product issue or not and don’t have the time to debug. I installed ftdi drivers on two different branded laptops, device does not properly detect in device manager. Everything done should be correct.Reference: The instructions & I’m an electrical engineer (design circuits)
