Absolutely love it!!
This fan is amazing!! Was pretty straightforward to assemble except for one part which I struggled with which was the attachment of the blade, didnt have enough strength to push it back n apply nut at the same time. Nephew to the rescue. This is so much better than my plastic one, much cooler air circulates, possibly a bit noisier but I dont mind it n can sleep through it. I love the remote and timer settings especially. Looks really nice too.Highly recommend!!!

Great Fan But Needs Some Aerodynamic Modification
Bought this to replace a 20 year old Wahl fan that still runs without problems, but was looking very scruffy. The unit looks very classy, if a fan can be called that, the remote works brilliantly and the timer is a fantastic bonus. It was a little loud, but increasing the pitch of the blades by 20% or so, decreased the operating RPM and increased the airflow by a small margin. The result is a fan that makes barely a whisper now.

Good fan, works well but not silent.
Don't see us needing the top two settings. All these fans are noisy but we can fall asleep on lowest setting, at which it is very effective. Doesn't rattle or fall over, which accounts for the extra £10-15 cost. Chrome is nice too. Remote is useful too.

Quality fan, very pleased.
This item is excellent and arrived promptly the next day. Managed to assemble it without too much difficulty and it worked a treat. Fairly quiet when on in the bedroom overnight and a quality construction in chrome. Didn't bother (yet) with the timer but the remote works very well in all other respects.

For the Price I Expected more....
The packaging was cheap, weak, and uses excessive amounts of non-recyclable materials like styrofoam and plastic bags rather than cardboard. The packaging was badly maimed as it was clearly not designed to take the forces experienced during transport, but miraculously the fan itself seems to have survived intact. The assembly instructions are written in reasonably good English, but have many other flaws. It is not rocket science to assemble a stand fan, but the instructions try their best to make it as confusing as possible. Diagrams are not in the right order, so if you do not read the text, you will end up having to disassemble part of the fan again. Components are not labelled the same in the diagrams as in the text, furthering confusion. Screws and threads are cheap and fiddly to assemble. The screw holding the fan on the drive shaft is very soft, and I wonder how long it will take before the fan comes off. Of all the screws, that would have been the one to use a quality material. The fan blade is just cut out from a straight piece of metal, and the surface is not aerodynamically formed, with the edges being quite sharp. As a result, this fan is definitely not "ultra-quiet" as advertised, and for the noise it produces, does not provide a lot of airflow. Effective air flow reach indoors on the lowest speed setting ― which is noisy enough ― is probably about 3 m.So, the only two things this fan has going for it are the "full" metal construction (the control box is plastic), and the remote. Maybe this will mean that it will last longer, but I generally feel that I would have gotten a better fan out of a cheaper plastic one.

7 years and still going...
This was an Amazon Warehouse purchase. It was bought for around £50 in July 2017 (prices haven't increased much I see, so not exactly a bargain unless what's currently on sale is end-of-line clearance stock). Anyway it's a hot Sunday afternoon as I write this and, yes, the fan's keeping me sane as I bang away at the keyboard. It's quite easy to assemble. It's heavy, especially the base, so older folk might need to be careful, but the instructions are perfectly straightforward. I live upstairs in an enclosed room. A balmy 72 degrees downstairs can mean 90+ where I spend my day so I took precaution of buying a spare. I've still to unpack it. All I can say about the remote control is that it's superfluous with the unit so close by but I've tested it, including the timer, and it's very responsive. Bear in mind that manufacturers change their specifications, often without notice, so today's model may not match the unit I bought in every detail. This has been a workhorse. It will probably die on me after I've submitted this, but even if it does I'll have no room for complaint. Recommended.
