Had S20 for years, great product but time to upgrade.First time out didn't read manual, figured I had S20 what could be different, WRONG.Entirely different system, simple to use but much different. I still get stuck by clicking on walking instead of golf, fat fingers.As I learn more I find more it can do. Powerful watch with more functions than I use. But a very good golf watch. And fairly comfortable.If I have a complaint, not thrilled with watch band. Put on snugly, 3 or 4 times during round I have to tighten another notch. It seems to stretch as it get warm?? But other bands are available.

The watch is so light, you don’t even realize you are wearing it! When you get to a golf course, just press the OK button and the golf course will appear, given it loaded on the watch. You have an option to load new courses as well. The battery life is excellent. I only charge it once a week after playing 2 different courses. The only down side for me is there is no back light, so if your using the Approach S12 just as a watch, difficult to see the time if there is no light to illuminate the time on the dial. Great buy for the money! GJP

I bought this watch for my son. I have three garmin devices and only assumed this was a golf/smart watch like mine. It is only for golf. I love the design and functionality of it. He doesn’t have any problems.

Don't waste your money on any other Golf GPS watch. The S62 may be expensive, but it's worth it. Like any new gadget, it can take a little bit of getting used to how it works when out on the course, but I pretty much had the hang of things after 6 or 7 holes. I got it in combination with the CT10 censors to automatically record the club - and that worked seamlessly too.As for the Caddy feature, I haven't reached the required 5 rounds played yet (it needs this to understand your game and distances), but even without this, it was a great aid around the course. Also the feedback that it gives post round in the app is excellent. I learned so much about some of my weak points just from that first round analysis. Little changes to your game are recommended that could help lower your score.Very pleased with it so far I have to say. It also feels very light on the wrist and the strap is very soft/flexible. Fits over the top of your golf glove and doesn't get in the way. I honestly had to check that I still had it on my wrist at times. I had previously played with the Apple watch, and i always ended up taking it off as it got in the way of the glove and swing etc.

Got this watch after my other one stopped working. This is a more expensive watch but well worth the money. It is very simple to use and I never have trouble with getting it to acquire a satellite signal or set up on the right hole. Easy to use, easy to see the display. Love it!

Great watch and range finder

I downloaded the app for the watch and started using it immediately. It's so easy to use. A great update from my older Garmin watch.

I had a Garmin S20 for a few years and it was perfect even though it was sunlight-only display; It worked perfectly. I had no issues with seeing the display even with polarized sunglasses.My new S12 is awful! I can't see the display with polarized sunglasses. And, who plays golf without sunglasses?I would return it but have misplaced the packaging it came in so I have no choice but to keep it. It was a waste of $200. Shame on Garmin for selling such a worthless golf watch! DO NOT BUY IT!
