As usual with most wood working planes of any size, they require some tweaking. After that, works like a charm. In fact most of the products I got from Garvin are exceptional in quality for the price at which they offer.

I like to make things from wood as a hobby. Due to advancing age (I am 70 now) I find it difficult to handle the bigger professional wood planers that are quite heavy (I have two of them). This little planer is perfect for my needs. It is small in size and lightweight. What is most important is that the blade depth is adjustable like the bigger ones. I am about to embark on a project that is quite big in size and this planer will come in handy for the work.

Seriously underrated. The price don't to justice to the tool. Love it! Although it need some tone up... But who expects a crisp tool with no need for minor touchups, from a factory right? Great tool man!

I’m well satisfied with the product the only downside was the blade, one side of the edge of the blade was like 3mm longer took me a long time grinding on the stone to level it with the shorter edge. Hope it will level out after some usage. It’s heavy but I’m quite happy with the product.

Works straight out of the box, the blade was sharp, just need a quick clean up (protective oil), set it up and started working with it, now i have two pother Stanley planes similar to this one and this is on par for less than a 10th of the price absolute steal, if you are looking for a quality affordable small plane, THIS IS IT.
