Nice
This is a tasty lemon pound cake mix. If you do a couple tweeks it can be truly great. Like adding lemon zest.

Delicious
I really like this lemon pound cake mix! I followed the box instructions. It was a little more complicated than a typical box mix, the eggs and sugar needed beat for a few minutes. But overall still very simple. I did add a glug of vanilla extract.I baked it for about an hour and that was perfect in my oven.I think it tastes better than the coffee shop version. Very similar flavor but not stale, at least not the first day. Definitely not a diet food, and it's a bit expensive at $12.98 for 1 box mix, but makes a nice treat!

Not your grandmother's pound cake
I remember an old pound cake recipe that called for a pound of butter, a pound of sugar and a pound of flour (I think). It was good, and apparently easy to make, but I didn't love it.THIS pound cake is delicious and super easy to make. I really like the lemony taste and the texture and consistency is similar to my grandma's, but not as heavy.

Yum!
This tasty lemon pound cake was easy to make with simple and easy to follow instructions. The cake with the glaze had a nice bright lemon flavor and the texture was dense with a nice crumb as you would expect with a pound cake. I served it to some unexpected guests and it was a hit with all the lemon fans!

No one in my family enjoyed this
This was a fairly simple to make pound cake. It did require an electric mixer, although it may be possible to do it by hand. The first thing that struck me as odd was the batter did not smell like lemon to me. The mix baked very well in the recommended time and came out clean from the pan. The glaze was very easy to make and pour over the top. Unfortunately, the flavor just was not that enjoyable . The cake itself had a slight lemon flavor, but the glaze had a very tart lemon taste to it that almost felt artificial. Overall the poundcake was not nearly as sweet as I thought it would be. I shared the poundcake with my husband and children, and most of them took only one bite before they refuse to eat anymore.

The husband was looking for a dupe to his favorite from a coffee shop. But…
It can get pricey at the coffee shop for the husband to buy his lemon pound cake slice. So when I sawA Blend Above Lemon Pound Cake Mix I had to order it for him. He finally did make it today. It had been awhile since he has made something from a mix and oh boy was it a chore for him to read simple directions on a box. Just getting the hand mixer out of the drawer was a feat for him. Then he melted the butter in the microwave. No no no…look at the directions again. This time he used softened butter as directed with the eggs. He slowly blended with the mixer and then increasing speed for 2 minutes. He then added the mix in batches till blended. Then he realized he never added the milk. Oh doh, so then he added it and blended with the mixer some more. FINALLY ready to put into a loaf pan he smeared oil on and floured. Thought maybe parchment paper might be best. But… well. Into the oven it went. The timer was set to 45 minutes even though directions were 50 to 55 minutes. Best to set it early. Nope not done. Had to add extra time maybe for a total of 60 to 65 minutes. Finally done. Let it sit 10 minutes then remove from the pan. I had him loosen the sides with a flat spatula type thing first. Then tap the bottom and corners. It still stuck…but luckily it was the bottom and not in the middle of the loaf. But it ended up too dark in order to get it baked enough. After cooling some he made the glaze. With the lesser amount of liquid not enough and with more it was too much. Why he didn’t use half amount more I asked…ugh. I think it might be much easier on me for him to just buy his slices at the coffee shop. I am not sure I can take him making more of this pricey lemon cake. Oh…he said it tasted okay but on the dark side. I had planned on pictures but too much drama from the newbie chef. His rating was eh when I asked. He said 2 stars when I asked him. But I am rating it 2 1/2 stars as he made many errors in getting this ready.

Basic lemon cake, but nice as a base dessert
I thought this lemon pound cake was very easy to make which I liked. You do need several ingredients in addition to the mix inside the box. The lemon flavor is not super strong, but you can definitely add extra toppings when serving since the cake itself is quite dense. A nice option if you need an easy dessert.

Excellent flavor!
I was so excited to receive this lemon pound cake mix. I made it as soon as it arrived. You need to add eggs, milk and butter to the mix. This was by far the best lemon pound cake mix I have ever used. It was delicious and very moist. I had planned on making my own glaze to top it with, but was pleasantly surprised to find that a glaze mix is also included in the box, saving me a step! How perfect is that?! My entire family commented on how great the lemony taste of this cake was. It is perfect along side a cup of coffee or tea. I will most definitely get this mix again. We used it as an around the house snack, but it would be great to bring to a summer barbeque, picnic, or any other gathering with great food. It will be a winner anywhere you take it. Highly recommend!
