GREAT for making sure old and new play nice together.
Love my TrendNet stuff, have for years. Upgraded to 2Gb internet, and the old GreenNet switches are not compatible with 2.5Gb ethernet, so had to upgrade. My entertainment center in the living room still have 100mbit device connected (Wii). This fits the bill. Makes sure all of my old, and new stuff talks and is not giving me compatibility problems... So it connects 2.5g to 2.5g, to my main switch, and connects my home automation hub, a PS4 at gigabit, and a Wii at 100mbit... All humming along no problems.

Great unmanaged switch
Works great. Price is good, the 2.5gbps ports both work as expected (cool thing is if it is getting the right throughput, light is orange, if not itโs blue like the rest). Wish it were ever so slightly smaller.

Only for air conditioned places.
Nice function, but it gets very warm, don't put it anywhere that it could potentially overheat! I had mine wall mounted in my home office closet, but it would get it and started disconnecting a lot. Now I just leave the closet door partway open as a "temporary" fix.

Reliable and cheap
Love these metal enclosure fanless switches, the addition of 2.5gbps is perfect.

Good for adding a few 2.5gbe devices
Worked great for adding a few 2.5gbe ports between my Deco backhaul and my Steam VR pc That supports those speeds. Meta 3 Streaming of VR improved has had no hiccups since doing this upgrade .

Short term good, long term bad
Worked great while it workedโฆ 2 years in and itโs not switching as it should, wonโt talk to the router, several ports just donโt work. Recommend only if you need a short term switch.

Small and Compact Smart Swicth
This is a plug and play compact switch that is a must for all home computer systems if you require multiple direct connections from your router. Convenience and small enough to hang right next to the desk. We use the ports to connect to our laptop and two other desktop systems without having to configure wifi. Great product.

Works as advertised
Seems to be working well so far. Here is a screenshot of a local speed test I recently did between my laptop and desktop (not an internet speed test). Laptop connected to the switch, PC to the router. Within my network, I'm getting the max speed I expect from a gigabit switch.

Trendnet just works.
Good switch. I like the 2 x 2.5 ports on the local network. They are fast with the right equipment.

Working Fine With Cat5e Cabling
I mainly got this switch to test out the Cat5e cabling that was pre-installed into our walls by our builder; I have a ISP gateway with a 10G port that can auto negotiate down to 2.5GB speeds. The switch does let me know that there is a 2.5GB connection established with the green light on the 2.5GB port. I appreciate that this has additional gigabit ports for other devices; I managed to get a docking station for our laptops so that we don't have to rely on wireless connections while at our desk. The other gigabit ports are for other PCs and a smart hub for our lighting. I like that this is a fan-less unit and doesn't make any humming nor buzzing sounds; with the slim profile, I managed to hide this thing inside our desk. I plan to use the secondary 2.5GB port for a future PC that has a motherboard with 2.5GB networking; I managed to get this for $66 which is a decent value than comparable offerings.

Brand name Hybrid switch as a bridge between 1Gig and Multi-Gig networks
Currently using as a switch attached to an opnsense firewall and seems to be working as advertised. This hybrid unit (2.5Gb + 1Gb ports) allowed me to connect my wired PC direct to 2.5Gb for a (single) high speed connection while still providing 5 open 1Gb ports for my APs + other wired devices. It did this at half the price of a brand name 8 port 2.5Gb switch when I only really needed a single multi-gig port out. That said if you're running POE APs, you might want to consider his bigger brother TPE-TG327 which appears to be identical to this unit, but also offers POE. Really happy with this configuration at this price point, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends/family.

Exactly what I needed
I only needed 2 2.5gb ports and couldn't justify the cost of a 5 port model. This is perfect for me as I get the 2 ports and 5 1gb ports for my slower connections. Runs great with cat7 cables, and I'm actually getting around 2.6gb speeds consistently.
