Great product to have around. Have a friend that struggles with hypoglycemia and we used one of these taste like a lemon jolly rancher!

Great for a medical bag or to toss in a backpack or purse.

I happen to have a diabetic friend who is a complete dingbat and doesn't always eat first in the morning before errands and by the time we get halfway through with shopping & errands, she gets that look on her face like she's about to faint. Now I just had her one of these out of my purse. The first time I handed one to her she looked at me like I was nuts, but I said nothing and let her figure it out for herself. The last time I handed her one, she sucked that thing down like a greedy newborn. I think that means it's good and it works. *winks*

Not diabetic, but been having a lot of problems with blood sugar dropping lately. I tend to get a little weak and shaky when it does and the cap on this isn't exactly ideal for that. Taste is absolutely terrible and I find the tube is a bit hard to squeeze out the last third as it gets stuck towards the top. I guess this works in the pinch, but there are other brands of glucose gel that work better.

As far as if they work, they seem to do the job in bringing blood sugar up, but, having said that, I really feel these would be better added to a drink, as more of a sugar level regulator. The flavor with these is not a bad lemon flavor, in my opinion, but the aftertaste is really bitter. I would agree it is fast acting, as it is liquid, and obviously breaks down faster than say gummies, chews, or tablets do. As far as the amount of glucose, it is equivalent to about 2 to 3 gummies, depending on the brand, but you do have to consume the whole tube for it to equal that. Another reason why I feel it would be better added to a drink, as it is quite a bit in each tube, and unless it's a situation where you're bloodsugar has dropped astronomically, and you need it to come up quickly, it is more than what eating a couple gummies would be as far as volume. Atleast it seems that way to me. I can easily eat two gummies at once, but I had to do multiple squeezes to consume this. Besides the bitter aftertaste that lingers, the only real complaint I have about this is its not resealable. If you are a person who only needs to eat a single gummy every so often, you'd only want to consume half of one of these tubes, and unfortunately, them not being able to seal after opening, will not allow that, without the possibility of spoiling the rest. So again, another reason this would be great added to a drink. Overall, I will keep the other 2 for emergency use, when I need a rapid solution for lowered blood sugar, but I am on the fence on whether I would order more in the future. It's a personal preference only, as I am pretty good about routinely eating my gummies, and its more of a creature of habit situation, than anything, but I would not be opposed to purchasing them in the future either. If I did, it would be for those emergency moments, and that is due to them not being resealable as I stated before.

This glucose gel works and tastes great.The taste is slightly sour from the lemon, so it does no taste overly sweet. Which is great if you need to raise your blood sugar, but don't really like sweets. It is even a little refreshing.The glucose works super fast and raised my blood sugar within 15 minutes, just as it should between measurements and when you are low. Be careful though because you might overshoot.Maybe first try halve of it and see how you react.The only downside I see is that theses tubes are very big, compared to glucose tablets, if you want to carry them around. But for Type I it would definitely a life saver, as they act much quicker than the tablets.

Way too expensive for what you get. Works ok not fantastic.

Each tube is about 6" long, can fit in bag or possibly pocket. Comes with 3 tubes as described. Easy to use!
