I made the mistake of switching my T12 fluorescent fixtures to T5 to save space. Both the T5 bulbs and ballasts didn't last, so I've wanted to switch to T5 LED tubes. I found some that were Type A as "plug-and-play" if you had a compatible ballast. Type Bs were available in lots of 25 bulbs. The Luxrite bulb works as Type A or B. I ripped out the ballasts because they couldn't be trusted and rewired the fixture to support Type B. It was quick and awesome. The bulbs are bright, and I could order the exact color temperature I wanted. They've only been in for two weeks, so I can't judge longevity. At least there's no ballast to fail!

I was considering replacing my flourescent ballasts in my garage because the bulbs kept dying, leaving us with little or no light in the garage. Luckily, I came across these and decided to try them out before going to the pains of replacing the ballast. These bulbs worked perfectly the first time. We've only ever used them on the brightest setting, and they are very bright, but exactly what we need for our garage. Considering the replacement costs of regular bulbs, I believe these will be a worthwhile investment over time.

Easy to install, work well so far. No complaints, I’ve had them for about 6 months. Still going strong.

I have a working fluorescent light fixture. I pulled the lit (working) tube out. Then I put this product in--no light. I pulled it out, turned it over and put it back in. Still no light. I pulled it out, rotated the pins 180 degrees, and put it back in. Still no light. I put the old fluorescent light back in, and the old one lit right up.I tried the same steps again with another one of the bulbs in the 4-pack. Same result—no light. I put the fluorescent bulb back in and again, got light.My main reason for buying this product was to change the color temperature of the existing lights, but it seems I wasted my time.This product claims to be drop-in ballast compatible with no modifications to the fixture. Either I was shipped duds, or this claim is false.I will be returning this product.

It's taken multiple orders to receive non-shatteted bulbs in the mail, and now that I have a working pair to try out they buzz very loudly, makes me worried they won't last long. None of my other led t5s make any noise at all, these are also much dimmer than expected. Using them in an agrobrite 48" fixture

At first this seemed like an easy upgrade to LED. I used the existing wiring and ballasts. The bulbs went in easily and the light was great. But I noticed the fixture generated a lot of heat at one end and a burning smell. Two bulbs burned out very quickly. I didn't try direct wiring to line voltage. There should be some better documentation on how to check compatibility with your existing ballast.

I wanted to replace my HO tubes in my garage and choosing these lambs were ideal. This way I can take out the ballasts and just have tunes. Less power consumption and no maintenance of ballasts. I started with 4 just to see, so far no issues. Just 10 or 12 lights to go..
