Love it!
I've wanted this knife ever since it came out but put off getting it because I thought it overpriced. Before Cold Steel changed over to s35vn, you could get a 4 inch Talwar for around $90 and the 5.5 inch XL model for about $135. All three models have CTS-HXP steel and G10 scales so I thought the $233 asked for the Hundred Pacer was just a bit ridiculous - more than a bit, really. When I saw it on Amazon for $177 and simultaneously got a gift card from work for $100, I jumped on it even though I would have to wait three weeks for delivery. For $77 to me, I got one of the best knives I've ever ordered. Aesthetically, I absolutely love it. I am a huge fan of persian style upswept blades and love big folders. Due to the width of the knife, it actually looks bigger than it is. The aforementioned 4 inch Talwar is a bit longer in length but looks smaller because the width is so much less. Ergonomically, the Pacer feels great to my hand - YMMV. Fit and finish wise, It's just about perfect - the only very nitpicky criticism I have is that the primary edge bevel is very slightly wider at the tip than the heel and the plunge line on the left side is a hair forward of the right side. Everything else is exemplary. Lock up has no play in any direction and it is shaving sharp ootb. It's light for such a large knife, flips open smoothly and unlocks easily. Centering is spot on, the clip has the perfect amount of tension and the scales are grippy without being too aggressive. I'm ecstatic over getting such a beautiful knife in such a great bargain. If you like big boys and persian style blades and can stand the tariff, you will not regret ordering the Pacer even if you can't stumble on the deal I did.

Awesome!
It’s great for what it is........a folding scimitar with premium materials, and premium quality. I can’t really find anything to complain about this knife. It’s big, will easily cut 1” tree branches with a good angled swipe, and it just looks awesome. CTS-XHP is probably one of the best all-around steels available right now, so bravo to Spyderco for using it in this knife.EDIT: Just thought I would add to my review after more hands-on time with this knife. The more I use the Hundred Pacer, the more I like it. The overall design and functionality of the knife is outstanding. It excels in the kitchen at slicing meat, vegetables, and making long rolling cuts. Cutting bone on cow ribs doesn't even dull the blade. It excels at shaving wood off of bamboo and oak for making fire kindling with almost no edge damage. I've even tested the blade by shaving rifle brass cases, a copper pipe, and cutting through a full Kevlar vest panel(highly abrasive). The CTS-XHP steel on this edge really holds up well compared to many of the top steels out there that I have tested like S30V, S35VN, S90V, LC200N, and M390. M390 holds up a little better than XHP, but XHP is a heck of a lot easier to resharpen. XHP is fast becoming my favorite steel, and the Hundred Pacer is a very good knife to compliment it.

Best folding knife for food prep
Forget the Spydiechef if your looking for a Spyderco that excels in the kitchen. I have a Spydiechef and this Hundred Pacer our paces the chef for food prep. The blade is long and deep and sharp as can be. It handles deep cuts, thin slices, chopping, roll cutting and more. I seem to always be on the lookout for the perfect folding knife for food prep and this is the best I have found so far.

Graceful Blade
I love the size and shape of the blade. It's wide with a sweeping clip point. Fully flat ground to a thin edge. Great slicer. The knife is manufactured in Taichung, Taiwan where some of the best quality Spydercos are produced. This is no exception.I took off a star for practicality. The knife is very wide in the pocket making for difficult access to my wallet. The Spyderco Military makes for a better carry with similar functionality.
