DMC GC001 StitchBow Floss Holder, 10-Pack

For years I've used the little cards to store my thread on, winding meters of it on to cards that bend and tear, writing the numbers on the corners of the cards and having to use two cards for one skein, then whilst browsing through Amazon found these little gadgets, hook one end of the skein on one end of the bow, slide off the bands and hook the other end over the end of the bow, job done, slide the band with the number onto the plastic piece and that's it, truly wonderful and with the plastic wallet they are kept neat and tidy till you need them, no more cards for me!

Brilliant way to keep those skeins of silk or floss from getting all tangled in your sewing box. Never buy just one pack though! It's a shock to find out how many colours you actualy have. They are easy to load with the silk it just slips on, it's easy to feed off what you need. There is a small tab on the one side for putting the paper collar from the silk onto, so you have the number/colour etc. I don't keep mine in a file, they are in a suitably sized plastic box. Great storage solution, and I think they will last forever!

The stitchbow system is brilliant. Easy to get the threads - both DMC and Anchor - onto the holders. Once in they look lovely and tidy and no messy knotted threads. I also have the wallets and it all looks pleasantly tidy! Much better than the little card system.

As a cross stitch lover I would really recommend these to keep your skeins in order. They are brilliant, I was first given some as a present and then I had to buy more as they were so good.For any sewers or people looking for presents I would certainly recommend getting these!

Just what I needed to organize the floss for my ‘temperature’ cross stitch. Easy to use and there’s a little tab to hold the floss band. Coujd t believe how inexpensive they are.
