The molded silicon o-ring on Instant Pots isn't just a simple round o-ring, it's a molded shape with two "lips" that form the seal between the inner pot and the lid.Our wonderful pet cockatoos--which are like grandchildren to us--are also ABSOLUTE MONSTERS, so very destructive!TLDR; one of them loves chewing silicon and he removed part of the lip.The Instant Pot wouldn't seal.These replacements slip right in in place of the originals.Very easy to mount; took about ten seconds to figure it out and put it in place, and I was up to pressure a few minutes later.I did soak them in very hot water after taking them from the package; the instructions say to use boiling water to remove any kinks, folds, or dents from shipping.Mine arrived almost perfect but I wanted to wash them anyway, so I put them in a bowl of hot soapy water before using them.I'm sure they'll last years....or until the next time I'm dumb enough to leave the pot face-up and let my cockatoos chew it!

I like that it's an exact replica of the original sealing ring and I especially like that it's offered in a two pack. That way, I'm set for quite awhile. Many thanks to the seller for great packaging and response time.

I got this seal to replace my original one that was no longer sealing. The replacement seal arrives tightly folded. I was worried the crimp might not come out and it would fail to seal. But it sprung into shape and made a good seal, with no steam escaping. It perfectly fit my 8 qt instant pot. And there are 2 seals, so I'll be set for years. Highly recommend

I am thankful Amazon had replacements for a discontinued Instapot . Then They wanted me to buy the newer version of the Instapot and there was no need for that. My iustapot works just fine, just needed the new silicone sealing rings.
