How do I find a proper notch for wire stripping?

There is AWG Standard mark on the stripper, you could check the wire standard sheet which print on the back of package or description of product website.

Does it contain spring? Is it a handspring wire stripper or spring control stripper?

I check it has a hidden spring. The good thing is no worry for the spring pop out accidentally.

Can I use this wire cutter to cut the solid wire or metal screws?

This wire cutter may suits for cooper or aluminum wire sort of soft metal. For metal screws or hard metal, you may need to use expert steel cutter.
