Crescent Mat Board, 32 x 40 Inches, White/Black Pebbled, Pack of 10

This mat board is of reasonable quality, but it is not as advertised. It is black, "matt surface", mat board with a white back side that is not really of mat quality. In addition, the white surface is printed in black ink with the product number in quarter inch high letters stretching the length of the 40 " side. [In some instances that I used the white side in a double mat, I was able to "bury" the printing under the top mat.] The packaging also needs improvement: A good double box of corrugated cardboard was used, but the inner box is too close to the outer box and even slight damage to the outer box corners (inevitable) results in crushing corners of the mat. The degree of damage on my shipment was sufficiently small that I could cover the damaged mat with the frame that I was using. For unframed or framed works with small relief, this damage might not be acceptable. As stated this is not archival board.
