A: Hi, it isn't noticeably different to any other pyrex bowl I've ever owned so I don't think it is thicker.

**Q: Without any rim and sprout, does it make a mess when pouring liquid?**
A: I have had no problem with pouring liquid from this bowl.  I use it virtually everyday from making porridge in the microwave to using as a mixing bowl; very useful.

A: I usually use this bowl for making porridge in the microwave so haven’t used it straight from the fridge. However I do have Pyrex casserole dishes which I do put straight from the fridge into the microwave to reheat stews. I hope this is helpful.
