Nordic Ware Swirl Bundt Pan, 10-Cup, Gold

This Bundt pan makes a beautiful cake! The design comes out sharp and well-defined, but the pan MUST be prepared properly before putting batter in it, and then baked at the proper temperature (325 seems to be ideal) for the cake to turn out without sticking and being done all the way through. I’ve found that many recipes call for baking temperatures above 325, and they DO NOT WORK with these heavy cast aluminum pans. Anything higher than 325, and I’ve found the exterior bakes took quickly and gets overdone if the cake is baked long enough to get the inside baked. The size is smaller than the older 12-15 cup Bundt pans, but today’s cake mixes, as well as many recipes, make a smaller cake, so just be aware of this. The best prep I’ve found to ensure the cake doesn’t stick is Pam Baking spray (the one with flour in it) or Baker’s Joy. Be sure to apply it liberally and coat every bit of the inside of the pan before pouring in batter. Also, wait until just before you pour the batter to grease the pan. Don’t do it ahead of time as many recipes instruct. I’ve also found that letting the batter rest in the pan for 10-15 minutes before baking allows the batter to settle into the crevices of the pan, so the design is more defined after the cake bakes. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes after you remove it from the oven. If your pan is properly prepared with baking spray, the cake will naturally pull away from the sides of the pan as it cools. It will then slide out perfectly without you having to go around it with a knife while it’s in the pan. I haven’t had any problems with mine scratching, but I’m careful with them. I always hand-wash them with Dawn dishwashing detergent after they’re fully cooled, and they clean up easily. These pans are heavy duty, and should last forever, so even though they’re expensive, I believe they’re a good value. I do wish Nordic Ware would standardize the colors, and offer each style pan in more colors, so I could buy pans that match. They’re so beautiful that I’d love to display them, but with all the different colors, it’s not a good look for that. Small issue, not a deal-breaker as I’m buying these to make beautiful, delicious cakes, and they do that!

What can I say? It’s a Nordic Ware product, so it bakes a BEAUTY of a cake! As I have said before, regarding other Nordic Ware products, just make sure you read the instructions before you bake in it, and make sure you read cleaning instructions. Nothing hard about it, but it’s just how to treat a valuable part of your baking repertoire pans with respect. I can’t say enough about how beautiful the final baked result is. I will have these pans forever and will be able to pass them on! What a great gift!

What a beautiful cake this bundt pan makes Nice sharp swirls. Easy to clean if you use Bakers spray to coat before pouring batter into the mold. Quality fabrication and beautiful cake results. Plus you get a cake recipe with the pan that is really delicious.

This bundt pan is the best. It made the perfect cake for my Christmas dinner. I made two and the first one tore a little on the side but I think I know what I did wrong. I greased the pan too early and I didn't let it cool enough. Second time around, I greased well with Pam spray (around the pan in left circle, around in right circle, multiple times, and the middle) right before pouring the batter, then I let it cool for almost a good hour before removing and it was perfect (as-pictured). Highly recommend, got so many compliments on how beautiful it looked!

My old bundt pan just didn't release the cakes well, so I thought I'd try a nice new one. I selected this one from the "used but like new" category to get a couple of dollars off. When I got it, there was a messy paint irregularity and roughness on the outside gold portion (probably why it was returned), but I kept it and used it. As others have noted, it is a little smaller than a good old fashioned bundt pan (10 cups instead of 12), but if that's okay with you, this is a great pan. My cake released like a dream, and the design is lovely. I'm a little annoyed that I still paid top dollar for an ugly "second" pan, but as they say, it's what's on the inside that counts, and inside, it's a nice pan!

A beautiful Bundt pan! Heavy gauge material, design on cake is lovely, didn’t stick, I only used non stick spray, cake rose perfectly and evenly. A little on the expensive side, but worth it if you want to treat yourself to something nice. Shipping was next day, Prime.
